Oman were the handy team to get. They were regularly on the wrong end of double figure defeats.
Yes I used to play that for hours in the late 80's , where you looked at the players from above and only saw the tops of their heads and their feet and you could do a 100m slide tackle when the pitch was wet

    Are you sure that wasn't Kick-Off/Kick-Off 2?

The bookies had us at 1/4 to win this morning, now I see they have us at 1/2. Have our lads been shot full of tranquillizer?

McShane is out of the team with a stomach bug. St Ledger plays in his place.

TrapAPony was even quicker than me - I'm blaming the delay in my internet link from Setanta to New York

Trapattoni should have started Alex Pearce for McShane. What is he going to learn by watching St Ledger yet again...

Ah, Kick-Off. I dread to think how many hours I spent playing that game - and yet I don't regret a single one of them.

    Very small crowd.
How on earth can this be viable financially? There can't be much more than a thousand people there. Playing in Oman would have been better than this

Chaotic defending there, cleary lacking the assurance of Paul McShane's calming presence.

My understanding is that Kentaro take the financial risk - the FAI and Oman get paid an appearance fee and the agent takes the risk on the crowd and how much they can make from TV rights.

1-0, that'll do. Park the bus for the next 83 minutes so.

Think we look very good on the attack. Shaky at the back though. I imagine this will be a classic good result in another ****ing friendly. 4-0 Denmark, 3-0 Sweden, 3-0 Algeria. We never turn it on in the big games.
