    LTFC vs WYFC

Fifth last game of the season on Saturday. Every game from here on is a cup final.. We need to take all three points from Wexford to have any hope of catching Limerick. Gillespie should be back us from his suspension. Bayly should also be back?

I will hazard a 2-1 victory to De Town (we cannot play any worse this time as we did down in Wexford in the last game.... )

Should get down for this one (summer football sucks in terms of getting to games for me). Couldn't really give a toss how we play once we win.

Ye gilly and bayly will be back from suspensions so that gives us a much better chance of dominating midfield and the ball.

Mcdonagh missed athlone with a virus so hopefully he's back.

Just hoping we win simple as that.

The important thing is the win definitely but it'd be nice to actually play for 90 minutes and score when we're on top.

I have family related hilarity this weekend so hope I can vanish for a few hours and turn up in Longford...

    Bring back winter football!

After last nights results the pressure really is on us now. I hope we can do this ahead of some massive games against Waterford and Limerick.

Watching the town play has seriously become a chore lately, if they lose tonight after watching Ireland play last night I may have to take a break from ****e football for a while.

Very good second half. We played very well. Nice to see Bermo get a goal, he always puts in a good shift, often playing out of position. Poor first half but that didn't matter. Collins had a decent debut and it was great to see Aussie back, hopefully he can stay fit for the rest of the season.

Bermo up top 2nd half and guess what he scored, hopefully that's the end of TC'S midfield experiment. Aussie holds the ball up so well id bring him in when fully fit.

Dont know what Cousins said to them at half time but it worked!Great second half performance at it was the first time in a long time I've seen some real urgency from them!Would agree about Bermo staying up top...although I did think Crawley looked particularly dangerous last night up front.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Not only did his team talk work he finally changed the shape with bermo playing just ahead of crawley and colly as two advanced wingers. I think that's a shape we should see more often because the first half tactics were awful.

Who flicked the header for Bermo to score with a header! It was top notch.. I cant remember who hit the great pass to thomas crawley but crawley took it well.. We were crap first half and was accepting a draw.. Fair play to TC the change in tactics after the crap first half worked!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Bayley crossed it in, and James headed it back across for Bermo.

I'm shocked to see how calm everyone is around here. That first half was a disgraceful display of football if it can even be called that. The second half was better, but in the name of God we're going to be railroaded against Waterford if we don't get our hole in gear.

Crawley headed it back across to Bermingham for the first goal.

Poor 1st half, quality second. Can't wait for Waterford now, mark Sean Maguire out of the game and we'll be ok. They robbed us up here last time we played them, we're better than them.

I'm convinced that if we win our last 4 games (and that's a very big if), we'll win the league. Fancy Limerick to bottle it at least 1 more time against their other 3 opponents.

Ya we are very poor against the teams outside the top 3 only 49 points out of a possible 51 against them.

Yes I am aware of the record ye have against the others. Ye did need a late goal to beat SD and Athlone in the previous series of games though so I'm hoping they can possibly do us a favour this time round and hold out for a draw. It might not matter in the end anyway if we can't keep winning.

Lets be honest the quality/standard this season is cat. Limerick bottle the big games, we dont like pressure and Waterford are slow starters. I think the GD will be enough for Limerick but I do believe we will beat waterford as said above Seanie Mcguire is the big threat.

Not sure I'm buying into this "worst 1st division for years" stuff tbh.
