More shoite from Irish politicians....
This video was taken half an hour before legends game, Galway United V Aston Villa, on Saturday 18 August 2012. Michael Ring TD officially renamed Terryland Park as Eamonn Deacy Park in honour of Eamonn Deacy RIP. The minister says he wants Galway United back in the League of Ireland.
Nobody knows us, we don't care
More shoite from Irish politicians....
What's going to get Galway United back is GUST working their arses off to put a solid footing and plan in place for next season, and ensuring regular cashflows to fund it! Not soundbites from some Minister. I hope it's happening.
Thats going on but im looking at Port Vale in administration, Portsmouth , Rangers and a host of clubs who got punished and all sorts was got up to over the years in LOI football clubs. Deduct us 10 points for years, throw us down to the lowest division but what was done to Galway United was unprecedented. Completely filleted out of football
We are back at u19 level and the outpouring of support and common sense at Eamonn Deacy Park last saturday will bring us back. The peoples club will prevail if it takes years but its dog hard when you have no senior team at all. The greatest 3 card trick in loi history has achieved zilch because it was for personal ambitions and gains as opposed to the greater good of football.
Galway United will never die that was clear on saturday we owe it to those passed on to keep the flame burning 3 GUST members alone in the last 6 months plus 2 former players
Starting on saturday week at Eamonn Deacy Park Terryland the home of Galway United at 7.30 with the u19s Versus Mervue United
Michael Ring is a great man to get votes, he always has the popular line at the ready. Works the funeral scene very well by all accounts. I'd take anything he'd say with a pinch of salt. Fair play to the lads for the work thats going on but this is certainly not something I'd be glorifying on a thread to be honest.
Galway United supporters trust FC are back at the re named Deacy Park Terryland at 7.30
Join the celebrations
Not to be picky, but shouldn't that state Under 19 League?
