We were shocking this morning played well for 20mins at the start of the 2nd half worst performance of the season thought we couldn't be as bad as the last the we played Granvile. Scored after 3mins good finish from mark sla at near post. Granvile levelled with there only chance in first half Carew then were awarded a pen when the granvile player punched the ball off the line and unbelievably only got a yellow card pen was missed.
2nd half we upper it played some good football took the lead on the hour mark with Jonathan grant. After that we were poor Granvile created 2 great chances in last 10mins but so poor finishing.
Best of luck to Granvile a excellent team are alot better than some premier teams iv no doubt they Will be back there next season.
I haven't watched Carew other than the two occasions we've played them, so I can't comment on the level of your performance. However, I'd like to think that the level of ours on both occasions played a large part in making life difficult for your players. I felt we showed the qualities needed to compete at that level. Still, we're disappointed to leave empty handed again.
Not a lot to add to that match report, apart from Ken O Donoghue's superb shot in the last few minutes which brought out a stunning save from Gordon Stewart. Also I think that our player handled the ball for the pen, but from where I was stood it was going wide, so the ref showed yellow not red. Have to mention our young keeper Rob Power again, who, not for the first time this season gave a superb display of shot stopping. Including a fabulous save from Grant's penalty.
Best of luck in the next round to Carew, and once again thanks to the club members for the warm welcome.

Thomas72, your first two lines show incredible arrogance.

Granville played well for 45 minutes a few weeks ago in the first game but fell apart in the second half. This morning, they took a different approach and from where I was standing, Carew Park never figured it out. Carew Park management will have to show more tactical awareness if they are to win things this season but more worrying from your point of view is your fitness levels, I won't name names but in general it is not at a standard that you would expect at this level. Granville had three great chances in the last 15 minutes, one which brought an incredible save from Gordon Stewart - if they had only taken one of them then it would have been very interesting to see how Granville's clearly superior fitness would have stood to them in extra time.
Sometimes you have to hold your hand up and admit your performance, good or bad, was influenced by the opposition. Clearly, Carew Park aren't the side yet that a lot of people are telling them they are. A lot of hard graft on the training ground is clearly required for when it gets tight against the better sides in the final quarter of games.
Granville, to be fair, seem to be moving in the right direction and showed again this morning that they could be in the mix in 1A at the end of the season.
A good game played in a very good spirit. Well done both teams.

    What are you on about?
I said Carew were very poor this morning how is that arrogance to anybody as for your other ridiculous comment about the manager unbeaten all season something like 15 games fluke i suppose. Fitness levels of Carew park are excellent everyone of them train very hard running hills sometimes 3 nights a week. ridiculous post

think your way off on the fitness level approach, carews performance was not affected by that, their fitness looked fine but it was that some of their players were not playing well and granville gave them plenty to think about.good competitive match it was and granville unlucky not to reach extra time.
