There is a new political on-line strategy game (e-sim), where Ireland is doing very badly. We are trying to get a few more Irish people to join to boast our numbers, so I decided I would put up a message here, as this is where the brightest minds in Ireland all post.
The gist of the game is to try to mirror real life political situations (as much as you can in an on-line game). Therefore e-sim consists of the following;
Vote/Run for different types of elections (Presidential, Dail & Political Party)
Run your own company (manage your employees)
Trade on the stock market
Fight in wars
Write articles for your newspaper, the list goes on
At the moment Ireland is doing terrible, most of the country has been takeover by the UK. That's where you can help, the more players the better Ireland will get. This game differs from other on-line games in that you only need to spend a few minutes each day to build up the same amount of experience as someone who spends all day on it. However the longer you spend on e-sim the more you will get out of it.

Is it a bit like erepublik? I might join just to be sound, I have no intention of getting too actively involved in the game thou, but could log on for the few mins a day if it makes your gaming lives any more fun. But how much effort will this be is my big question?

Yeah this kind of is erepublik but a bit simpler maybe, it feels like there's less ****e attached to it anyway. I'll keep tipping away at it for a while, found my way onto the IRC and all, Ireland really is screwed thou, I seem to be the only Irish man here

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Thought I'd give this an auld bump, I'm still logging in and clicking away, we could do with a good few more people thou, poor auld Ireland is being raped from all sides.
