Tie of the round Tage A v B..any reports from yesterdays games?
Tage can be very good on their day but it was a big shock considering how well Mountshannon were going before Christmas. 6-0 is a rout!
Got 2 goals from corners early on. Mountshannon tried to play but the pitch was terrible. Tage used it to their advantage n defender for mountshannon ****ed up for 3rd. Early goal 2nd half killed any revival.
Any transfers happen over the month?
I'll update this next year.
Young avenue keeper deasy gone to tage I hear.
John Keogh Shannon Olympic to bridge utd
can anyone on this site reveal how the referee came to the conclusion that 2 players that decide to fight in the middle of a match (Where the game had to be stopped) and issue them both with a yellow card? witnessed this at the bridge utd v doughlas hall game in NOF.. a headbutt was followed by a headlock and punches from both players on the same team. one would think that this surely has to be a red card for both players, such in the incident in newcastle where lee bowyer and kieron dyer. and the officials were from clare aswell. so not only did doughlas hall have 11 players on the field, but one of the players scored the winning goal in extra time. are they any committee members on this that give a reason for this? or maybe help the case of the referee? and try to argue the case on behalf of the league that it is not subsequently below par in terms of rerfeeing.
MJC. Everton afc 4 newmarket Celtic 1.
Bad result that i fancied newmarket any report of this game..
Let it go scooby , that match was last month, Bridge weren't good enough on the day, time to move on.
I take it you weren't at this game? Bridge were the better team, better teams on the day don't always win..
Scooby is right.. To many times refs get left off without having to answer there own actions, that wasnt the only decisions (bad) he had to make, if a player makes a bad decision entering into somthing that gets him sent off, he will have to answer to the league at some stage, he pays good money to compete every Sunday, refs get payed, they should atleast be answerable for some things.
Rant over :-)

i wonder if you were actualy at the game?? for you see you are very wrong. im not saying that bridge utd were going to go on and win the competition, but in respect to that match, they were defiantly good enough to win, despite the referees poor performance. im also noting that every team can blame a referee for not winning, but in this case, i think martin should have to answer why he did not issue 2 red cards. you don't agree?? look at it from a neutral point of view, and ask yourself was that fair?? is there anyone else that may have an opinion about the incident?
Although I do agree with the majority of your post scoobysnack, I think it may be a blessing in disguise , promotion has to be bridge utds main aim this season and the munster junior is a fantastic distraction to have but getting back up to the premier has to be the priority. Too big of a club to be in the 1st division.. That referee has a history of making high profile fcuk ups but top level refs are at a premium, I'm sure we'd all love to have Pat Gleeson every weekend but we need to be realistic. For every decent ref in Clare there's 2 bad ones
Lads you just have to move on,football is all about results not how well the team played, so while you might have been the better team ? you still weren't good enough to win.As for the problems with the ref i suggest you write to the league or the refs assoc. outlining your complaints.I doubt that you are going to get much sympathy on this forum because every club has had bad calls made against them over the years.Time to concentrate on the 1st div. not look back in anger.
