It's the exact same scenario in the MSL, only 2 or 3 teams would compete to win the Tsdl, Limerick league or Waterford league, the top junior clubs are every bit as strong as the Intermediate teams as the junior clubs have demonstrated in the cup competitions in recent seasons

Would agree with you there, the standard around the country in the senior league must not be great either if Avondale are going for 4 in a row as someone posted up earlier, maybe the Munster junior winners should play Munster senior winners every year.just a thought?

ya thats probably true in fairness, my point was that the senior league is not as weak as lads are making out

Clever as the dogs on the street in limerick might be, I stand by my point, bar the top junior sides in munster junior leagues, the standard is average to bad. Maybe the best msl teams aren't on a par with the best junior sides but there's definitely a better all round standard of football, and facilities for that matter, in the msl, from what I've seen

Will there be any major movers in January or will most clubs keep what they have for the season??

Great win for Celtic today, congrats. It's a pity that the two Nenaghs met each other at this stage as the two of them couldve progressed far. Best of luck to Celtic in the next round. Could've got a far worse draw for the next round.

thanks lads, crazy game town started really well and were 2 nil up inside around 15 minutes and only for a super save form aidan in the goals it would have been 3, we got back into the game when lee taps shot was deflected in and drew level soon after after some great build up play sean healys left footed cross found jimmmy hynes who headed to the top corner 2 all half time, we went wild at the start of the second half scoring 3 more goals in the space of about 12 minutes to go 5-2 up with marky walsh, craig connolly and tappo getting his 2nd and really could have scored 4 or 5 more, danny ryan and scouter both got sent off rather harshly at this stage, town finished strongly and brought it back to 5-4 with a few minutes left but we managed to hang on for a deserved win great game of football

I was at the game yesterday and would have to agree that celtic deserved their victory. As celticlads said town started very well and it looked like it was going to be a cricket score at 2 0 but for some poor final balls from town and some last ditch defending by celtic. As soon as celtic got there first deflected goal, they dominated for a good hour and could have been more than 5 2 up. Nenagh made a late surge to their credit but it was too little too late. congrads to Celtic and best of luck in next round.
I have seen a lot of Nenagh in recent years but never seen them leak goals like yesterday. Somebody told me they lost 3 of last years back four and it showed. It looks like it may take time to re build.

A Crazy game is right and a fair report, congrats celtic on the win, deserved it fair and square thought we were going to run a way with it after first 25 minutes played probably our best football of the season in that period, and played our worst at the start of second half, have no complaints celtic deserved it on the day.

Well ya 3 out of the 4 that played the munster junior cup final are gone, 2 in Aus and 1 with our B team. we have a 17 year old playing centre half and has been outstanding this season but is still learning and will be a fine player, we have deamien Mitchell back straight after xmas, johnny o gorman back in 4 weeks davy chad and andy will be back in next 4 months and mikey is staying so its back to the drawing board for now, get what we can out of this season and come back stronger hopefully next season

when did i ever say rubbish north tipp league??? lets get 1 thing straight when u have been where we have been 3 munster junior quarter final, 2 semi finals and a munster junior cup final since 2008 our priorities have changed, granted north tipp is still our bread and butter but i would give up every medal i ever won in N.T for that feeling and that buzz when the final whistle went in last year semi against Tramore. i have forgotten what leagues i've won but will never forget that buzz, and the feeling of walking out in that final.

Thanks pride, likewise for us we started so slow but played our best football 20 minutes either side of half time especially at the start of the 2nd half when we looked like scoring with every attack, the big thing we took out of both games against ye this season is the character and unity within our squad, we have fallen behind early in both derbys this season but have responded very well on both occasions, we have a tricky tie against Broadford in the next round and certainly wont be taking them lightly, i think they won the Desmond league last year and usually make it to the open rounds in these competitions but thankfully we have a home draw and thats all you can hope for really even if our pitch doesnt suit the way we play the game

Watched Nenagh v pike last week and thought back 3 where outstanding problem I could see was wing backs don't seem to know how to play the 3 5 2 system and spend most of the game in no man's land our full backs had the run of the pitch also you need a midfielder that knows how to defend the back 3 and against us you did not have him I was shocked to see Nenagh conceded 5 goals this week cause the 3 lads at the back really knew how to defend if anything its further up the pitch I thought Nenagh where poor without the ball on the ball they are a very good side but its hard find players that are good at doing the thankless job of running and breaking up the oppositions attacks high up the pitch

we tried to play 3-5 -2 at the start of the season and found it really hard, when lads are unsure of where to be and what to do it was causing all sorts of problem, it has its advantages but its takes alot of practice to get it right
