I'll be there as I'm interested to see how their new players from Kilcornan get on. Niall Smith is my tip to score on his debut. Anyone involved with Kilcornan on this thread? How do ye feel about losing probably 2 of yer best players, must be tough on a small club, especially after losing 2 players to limerick fc this year aswell and 2 to Regional if I have my information correct. 6 top players gone from the team, Relegation bound???
Cheers for that info. They got to the last 32 last year so they must be handy enough, and apparently finished 4th in last years Premier? Yes Shannonsides new signing Smithy is a very good player, could make a good name for himself this year and has time on his side. Kilcornan must be in trouble losing all these players?

Very close to an upset super 6 . St Brendan's dominated possession for first 30 mins but failed to do anything with it . Then just before half time carrig scored a cracking goal from 25 yards out after a lovely passing move . St Brendans got back into the game from a deserved penalty 5 minutes into the second half . From here on it was all st Brendan's with the scoring chances which they wasted on numerous occasions missing 4 one on ones . Carrig seemed happy trying to hit on the counter attack and nearly win it in the 85th minute but for a great save from the st Brendans keeper .
St Brendan's started the Xtra time the better and took the lead 5 minutes into it when their Center midfielder broke through going past 5 players before driving the ball to the roof off the net . Carrig from here on threw everything forward but just couldn't get the equaliser . Over the game I think st brendans deserved the win just for the amount off ball they had and chances they created . Both teams should do well in their respective leagues looking at these performances .
Another note from this game was the amount off offside decisions given . It must surely have been in the twenties if not higher . When u have teams who play fast football it is nearly always guess work from the match referee without assistants .

It was a very good sporting game and credit to both teams for that . For me from where I was standing their was no doubt it was a penalty . The st Brendans player was going full speed into the box , got to the ball first before the defender and touched it passed him. The defender was was coming across the box collided side on and knocked the attacker to the ground as he was passing him. The defender was no where near the ball and never made an attempt to touch it once the collision was made . Others will see it differently but for me it was a penalty .

Newmarket Celtic (Clare) v Abbeyfeale Utd (Desmond): Would expect Abbey to win this one! Newmarket beat Glin well last year, although I think Glin were tied up in the Junior Football at the time and put out a weakened team.
Remember playing Clare teams in the past and getting nothing from the refs there. Prob just sour grapes on my part though!

On a more somber note, condolences to Kelliher family!
