Any reports from wknds game, i was away for wknd so didnt get to see any matchs. great results for ratkeale and abbeyfeale. killeaney won the battle of who will finish bottom and 2nd bottom, in my opinion. What happened to broadford yesterday? very dissapointing restults. Thanks to western gale for posting results and fixtures, great to see so quickly when away from home.

Good win for Killeaney at home to NCW Rovers!! Killeaney were up 2-0, 2-1, 3-1, 3-2 and Paul Sheahan made it 4-2! Sounds like a cracker!!
Bad loss for Glin Rovers at home. Abbey were up 2-1 at half time and went on to win comfortably 4-1! Kelliher was at match but was not playing!
Rathkeale are on a roll at the moment!! Not easy to go to Carrig and win 3 nil with the home crowd there!! Carrig brought back down to earth after a good start!! Could be a long season ahead for the two Rovers - Glin & NCW!!

Carrig Celtic ( Desmond league) have given up home advantage on Sunday in the FAI junior cup first round and are travelling to Tralee to play St Brendans Park on Thursday night instead . Strange decision I think . Anyone hear any reasons why they switched it

Park were much the better team overall . They took the lead with their first corner in the 4th minute and scored from a second corner in the 34th minute . Park controlled the game easily from what I could see in the first half and limited Broadford to try hitting them in the counter attack .
The second half saw Broadford come into the game more but this was down to the park being reduced to 10 men with 30 mins left when a player recieved a second yellow for giggling at the referee . Still Broadford only managed to get 2 shots on target in the remaining 30 mins . Park finished the game the stronger and had 3 or 4 chances to kill it off in the last 10 minutes . They finally did on the 86th minute mark when the broadford defence stopped looking for offside . Park fully deserved the victory as they were much better at passing and keeping the ball through out the game .

heard alright that the players that play football for drom broadford were out on saturday night and were flaming drunk so that could have an affect on the match against st brendans park.shame really especially after broadford beating them last year in the fai junior cup and playing in a good competition this year..

Another interesting weekend of results. Hard luck to Broadford against Brendan's. Hear that in the abbey and glin game there was a bit of a brawl with people even joining in from the sidelines! Anyone see that? Good result for Rathkeale a brilliant start to their season. Big win for Killeaney too. League won't take much shape for a few weeks tho until the football is over I think.

Was there a near riot between Glin and Abbey last weekend or have i heard an exaggerated account of the story ?

If that is true then there should be lengthy bans for all involved. No place in the game for that. Hopefully the league will discipline both sides.

Dingle Bay – probably be 2+ hrs journey for those lads!! Listowel Celtics probably be too strong for Glin Rvs alright! Glin are playing Junior A West final on Sunday so will prob have weakened team. Celtics prob be too good even if Rvs had full team!

Bit of a history between the two so would not be surprised. I suppose it will depend on the referees report! Heard Desmond League officials are looking at CCTV!! I heard Rovers might be forced to play 1 match behind closed doors!!
Any pics from Harry Lime these times?

Agreed, should be players punished over this fight at the glin and abbey game, if the stories going around are true. Could be exaggerated also though! Anyone any info on Dingle Bay Rovers, Shannonside play them this weekend?

I would liken Dingle Bay very much to Killeaney. They are not quite good enough for Premier in Kerry but always do well after relegation. They haven't picked up a point this year (correct me if I'm wrong). Shannonside should dispose of them handy enough. I'll be there as I'm interested to see how their new players from Kilcornan get on. Niall Smith is my tip to score on his debut. Anyone involved with Kilcornan on this thread? How do ye feel about losing probably 2 of yer best players, must be tough on a small club, especially after losing 2 players to limerick fc this year aswell and 2 to Regional if I have my information correct. 6 top players gone from the team, Relegation bound???

That would make sense as Glin have Junior A West Final on Sunday! Perhaps Abbey will let them use their pitch to play under lights if necessary!!
