Seen Watergrasshill at the weekend in a 5 a side ( i know not much to go on but they have some nice young players ) Tough place to go Wind a huge factor up there but if they start well could be in with a chance ,
Churchvilla In Cloyne , hard to say what they will bring to the table nice group down that way but been in trouble in the last 2 years at the wrong end of the table few youths coming along with a mix of oldies will be intersting to see how that goes ( doing good work underage )
St John Bosco's , Dropping down the leagues after being in the Premier A for a long time , need to be able to attrach the names to play this year to stop the slide .
Was at the game.....I was wondering why Leeside were playing the way they were during the game as never seen them play this sort of football before. Apparently their manager had them heavily restricted during the game....... Keeper wasnt allowed to kick the ball out of his hands for entire game.. No player was allowed to pass the ball more than about 20 yards by the looks of it.... Free kicks apart from anything in and around Glens box had to be taken within a few seconds and they couldnt go more than 20 yards either, throw ins were the same until the second half..... Goal ruled out for Leeside due to dubious offside and a penaly miss at the end and I heard form the lads their manager had them all doing an intensive spining class the night previous........Leesides managers tactics had them continuosly under pressure for the entire game....... Glad hes not my manager. Glen Celtic hit the post a few times and Leeside rode their luck but so did the Glen at times . The glen had the run of things fo most of the game but putting it into perspective and taking the above into account a good run out for both teams...Not too sure what all the fuss is about the Glen though... touchline antics left a lot to be desired
theres atleast 8 players on glen celtic "A" pannel worthy of msl "chief" you need to visit glen park more often before you make a comment like that mate.

After watching them the other night its clear to see that Glen Celtic is and will always be a junior club. Their mentality, their behaviour on and off the ball is abusive and hosting them in any capacity can only be seen as a risk and the league authorities know it..... the proverbial circus that travels with them pollutes the very air and does its best to intimidate referees. On a summers evening in Little Island some mothers took their kids away from the side of the pitch whilst the referee requested up to 10 players be substituted so as not to be red carded in a preseason friendly, their comments and those of the side-line were nothing but vile. The glen and their support initially come to see and play football but only seem satisfied with the off the ball antics which the glen players are only too happy to provide. There's no doubting the ability of most of the players but the only way they will progress will be at other clubs when this mentality is somewhat diluted. Popular opinion in this instance is not unbiased, it's not misplaced...When you play Glen Celtic it's not about football it's about endurance....it's a shame the referee blew the match up the other night with 5 to go..... I guess he ran out of patients when the glen side-line got what they wanted at the end..... Luckily it was only handbags but it was enough to quell the thirst of the drinkers on the side-line.............. As a club they've bullied and intimidated everyone to get where they are in the last few seasons...... don't get me wrong they've mixed that with good football but playing against them is like a visit to the dentist...you just want to get it over with.......
Alright Horse 24 just giving you a heads up i passed the fair field last and there is a shipping league team training on your half of the pitch their using it 3 nights a week and if ye are on it twice it could cut up your pitch before you even get started on it the ground is a bit soft on that side.
Just said i would give you a heads up in case you didnt know
to be honest the touch line was being dictated to by a ref who is not good ...line had a few words with him and did what was asked of them that it as far as i could see ,but i dont see wot the fuss is about it was a good game and played hard at times a good work out for both ..agree with most of what you say i just posted on the game it is a forum.if you cant post a result and get taken apart why bother .
lads dont be knocking the glen celtics team on hear . go watch them play and your opinion would be alot better cause they play some uneal soccer
