    Limerick 1 - 0 Bray Wanderers

As I predicted my absence made a 1-0 win an inevitable occurance. Now talk people, who was good, who was bad, I heard Chris O'Connor was acting the muppet again... what else happened?
The ball is round and has many surprises.

    we played well...finally

By far and away the best performance I've seen from Limerick this season. Jimmy and Finny were excellent and the other defenders played well also. Keats impressed me, Conway played well. Hartnett is getting better with every match as well-I didn't rate him at the start but he's doing a good job now. Thought playing Stevo on the right wing was inspired, just a shame the now-customary injury changed that. It shows what a difference when we don't have to play people like Ollie Keogh and Quigley. The only poor performance was by Ross...yet again. Oh and obviously CP, but that goes without saying. I was really impressed that we put together passes instead of booting the ball up to that hopeless lump the whole time. And how class was Wes Charles. Out of every first division player I've seen this year, i thought he was the best.

    strongest

this was our strongest team we've had out this season and also the strongest team we've faced thus far. We played a 4 5 1 with Hartnett pushing up behind the lump. We scored three goals last night yet the ref dissalowed two of them for what? And yes we scored our winning goal from a corner my god when have we done that two games running. Second last now pity Kilkenny and cobh both won but we'll catch them in the weeks to come. Sligo next in two weeks time, then Kildare away then home in 5 weeks time to Dundalk. This game will be at 2:30 as will the remainder of the hme games left this season. Making the last order of Jerseys so if ye want one pm me.

    Hartnett downs Seagulls

    Hartnett downs Seagulls

    August 16, 2004

    Limerick FC 1-0 Bray Wanderers
A 72nd minute header from midfielder Keith Hartnett gave revitalized Limerick their second straight victory, in doing so dealing the promotion aspirations of Bray Wanderers a mighty blow.

Wanderers lost ground on leaders UCD and second-placed Finn Harps although, more importantly, fourth-placed Kildare County closed the gap on third to just three points.

I think Wes is a class act alrite and I'd say he could perform at any level- I'd say he's only had 1 bad game this season which was on the opening day- now that he is performing consistently I'd rate him as one of the best defenders in the country.

I did'nt travel to the game but from what I hear it was a mix of Bray playing under par and allso the fact that Limerick played far far better than they have -V- Bray for a good while.

Anywho thats a good win for ye and hopefully yiz can keep it up -V- other teams that are chasing promotion so it wont cost us.

Do yiz think that there is any chance of ye putting together the same tipe of run that ye produced towards the end of last season?
