I'd agree with the propose changes. Cutting the number of TDs for 158 seems fair enough. I'm sure some will have expected more or want more. I suppose there was never going to be drastic change.
Chances are, your constituency will be overhauled, so here's the national map.Kerry will be a real bearpit, with four locally-strong parties and two sitting independents battling for five seats, as will Tipp and Donegal. As for the Dublin constituencies, the Fingal one in particular looks sprawling.

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.
My constituency is one of the ones uneffected as it happens. It wasn't set up to be radical, unfortunately.
Personally, I'd prefer a radical overhaul of the entire system and get away with the obsession around counties. There should be less, larger more regionalised local authorities, and then that should feed into the Dail system in terms of constituencies.
And we should be prepared to go up to the 7 (iirc) seater consituencies allowed by the constitution.
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.
