If he wasn't willing to fight for his place fook him, bottom line IMO. And if he plans on playing as well for CHF as he did against them the last day in Tolka, The RodOriginally Posted by observer

Well like I saidbeforethe Uefa match I thought McGovern would be a huge loss now Im forced to admit that I think the manager looks to have been right, I think the team has started to play better and Looking back on his performances its clear now that mcGovern didnt have the interest. Lets face it I have seen players go through a lot worse treatment but stick it out because they are with a club that they really WANT to play for. I think its time to stand back andsay that Matthews did an exemplary job last season and while not every season can be great so far it looks like even under pressure he has kept his head and maybe even weathered the storm. If so its a credit to him and the mark of a good manager. If your job aint been under pressure and you prove you can dig it out how can you say you are a great manager. Lets start to give him credit, remember Alex Ferguson back in 1990, minutes away from thesack! (sorry for the premiersh** reference)
