Was at Town match on Sunday. Great game. Town missing a few but I have to say as a Town supporter I'm really pleased with the attitude of all the players. The old bridge defeat apart in MJC, it has been an encouraging season. Credit as well to Jamie. Really looking forward to the Celtic v Michaels on Sunday week. Celtic are flying. Have to fancy them. They are playing some brilliant football. They are great to watch.

i hope you dont mean that it is a poor league Balls? a weak squad picked fom only 3 teams comes down to the lack of interest from players, i know for definite that in past years the league had not done enough for these guys, small things like gear, proper meal, been treated well. anyone any thoughts?

I have been told by some of the players involved that over the past few years the players have been treated very well. A new playing gear was provided at the start of last years campaign and breakfast is provided in Cahir before away matches. Still water, energy drinks and fruit is also provided in the changing rooms. Unfortunately, the after match 'grub' is at the discretion of the home team and in most cases results in sandwiches and finger food. This appears to be the staple diet provided by all home teams.

Just seen the fixtures for the weekend can't believe the majority of the games are on after dinner with the Celtic michaels game on at 2. A lot of interest in the game and now a lot of people won't be able to go ridiculous.

have to agree whatever about playing the lower lge and cup games after dinner 'might not be much as much interest from these teams' but all premier lge matches should be morning kick offs as im sure all premier teams will be dying to see such a game. makes no sense at all.

Im quiet sure many players from Lower league Sides would also like to see the game too , not just Premier

100% agree with you redman. there was a decent crowd for the league encounter in cooke park few weeks ago with most clubs having a few neutrals at the saints/celtic game. There would have been a bumper crowd at the bypass sunday as its an all or nothing fai game but alot of the genuine tsdl football people will now miss the game as they will be tied up with their own clubs. Bit of common sense should have prevailed with morning kick offs for the majority of games where possible
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!

But what about the lads that enjoy their few pints on a Saturday night, a lie in and a big fry on Sunday morning and a game of ball in the afternoon and don't give a toss about Celtic or Michaels. Morning kick off wouldn't be fair on these lads, eh?? I hear Celtic might be resting a few anyway as they're concentrating on the league.

Time to put this to bed!!!

I can see why the majority of the games are late kick offs.with the weather being so cold and a lot of the pitches being frozen over night, does it not give the majority of the games a chance of going ahead if they are on at these times(2 or 3 o clock)

I've seen pitches at 11.30am and they could be frozen, but come 2 or 3 o clock they are playable.
    So,does it not make sense?

  15. Thanks From:

    Betting for the big match:
    Paddy Power:
    Clonmel celtic 7/5
    draw 9/4
    St michaels 7/5

    Boylesports:
    Clonmel celtic 6/4
    draw 11/5
    St michaels 6/4

They cant be seperated, i am edging towards clonmel celtic but i can see a draw and extra time maybe penalties.

I think saints are in great position everybody seems to be writing them ( if you heard Tipp fm monday saints might as well not turn up ) alot depends on the inguries and sickness that went through saints went through over last month but it could come down to what defence copes better and fir me saints are a lot stronger across back four but its going to be a tight game

I don't know who are 'writing them off'. On Tipp Fm last Monday Blossom more or less said what you are saying i.e. if Saints are at full strength he would fancy them.

I think they were prediciting it may go to penalties which is as good as saying the teams cannot be separated. Maybe you are hearing what you want to hear.
