i wouldnt write town off that easy. cahir will always find it tought to attract players but all the best. old bridge are finding it hard to keep players so ive been told. a few going to play with town b team. looks like theyl be in the dog house again. any more transfer news ??

Dissapointing for bridge if they lose players. Town B if organised have a chance to win trophies in division 2 and some may fancy that more than weekly beatings in the premier league. I also wouldnt write off town that easy, barry ryan and adam mcsherry should get them more goals this year. Any word on saint michaels, any new players actually signed yet or is it still all speculation at the moment
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!

Paddy ' wack ' o,donnel played a game for cahir last thursday. 50 quid a week if he signs . worth at least 20 goals a year. would be a great signing. that came from the horses mouth

Why would a Club that as their own chairman said "were delighted to be back in the 1st Div" being paying lads €50 a week to play. Sounds like more money than sense to me!!

I wont I told ye so but I did

Gerry and Fitzpatrick are very good signings, probably still need a 15 goal a season man to compete for major honours,

I heard JJ Butler has gone to Piltown, great talent but rarely lasted more than a few months in any season playing soccer.
    Carrick United:

looks like bridge will struggle so this season. I think bansha have got in a few players, so really between them and wildies in a battle to avoid going down with bridge, if the bridge are in such dire straights. peake and cashel should be strong enough to avoid any worries about relegation but shouldnt trouble saints or celtic with a title challlenge either.

Division 1 looking very competitive this year. borris, cahir, cullen and killenaule all strong teams coming into first division this year.

Division 2 Tipp town fc again should get promoted this season , cant see any team stopping them. Town B should be decent aswell this year in Division 2 but reserve sides sometimes struggle for consistency

most leagues back weekend of the 18th/19th of august. Probably just premier teams back in tsdl though that weekend and other divisions to follow the following week. Rumours of a couple of clubs folding so might be no rush getting lower divisions back up and running.

With Tipp Senior hurlers out on the 19th, I'd say alot of people are hoping Tommy Lewis fixes the 1st round of fixtures on the Saturday evening beforehand

I heard tonight that clonmel town can't actually afford Richie Kennedy. They have had to go outside the club and get an individual to help pay him. He is supposed to be excellent and the players are raving about him. but if this is true that Town have gone outside with a begging bowl, it's a worrying sign. Plus who have they signed???. As a town supporter it's a worry

you dont sound like much of a town supporter using terms like begging bowl about them. all costs are drain on a club. If a club played two home league matches in a weekend would cost as much as any trainer. would you come on here saying then that they have the begging bowl out to pay the refs i dont think so. as for signings were not going to hear about it on here, tsdl news been very quiet on foot.ie lately. few weeks back it was said alright that adam mcsherry and paul shanahan had signed. If true two very good players who have played in munster junior cup finals and other big games with town in the past

I am a big fan of Town, that's why I am concerned. Ok maybe the term begging bowl is a bit ott but from what I here, there is a lot of concern in the club about finances and players. The board of directors didn't want Richie Kennedy but where only convinced when they got assurance that a third party would foot the bill. Im not hearing good things that's all.

If someone else is footing the bill then brilliant news for Town, get all the benefits of a great trainer and don't have to fund it, where's the problem??

The problem is that a club like town get used to outside benefit and get lazy with ideas for raising their own finances.when outside resources stop you look for trouble.the league will need to invest in clubs soon as few will fold.
I don't know how clubs are paying expenses to players and still have the poor mouth.as for Caesar and the league clashing with the gaa August 19th i will be surprised to see a change.remember they have to have the league finished by march!some clubs out of everything by February.what about a break at xmas?no need for fixtures at that time.pointless sending refs to inspect pitches then call them off and still get paid.
