All in the name of promoting his book. Interesting that he says:
"If you get caught doing something wrong in England you get punished..." and beside it is a piece entitled "Murdering Bloody Sunday soldiers should be jailed".

Well you can get away with anything over here such as being a spoofer about football and still be employed by RTE! Swings and roundabouts.

Came upon this blast from the past thanks to Balls.ie; Dunphy and Martin co-analysing our 0-0 World Cup qualification draw with NI in Windsor Park back in 1988 for BBC NI (from around 44 minutes):
The post-match analysis begins around the 47-minute mark in this one:
"Cascarino, 6 foot 4 and a nippy wee fella"
Well there is something I never thought I would hear.......
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?
"No, I drink to help me mind my own business....can I get you one? (c) Ronnie Drew
Last night was "a joy to watch" and "a night full of positives" according to both Giles and Sadlier: http://www.rte.ie/sport/player/813/487026/
No place for Dunphy in the studio late on a Friday night.
But it was 3-1 Charlie, BIG difference...
Allegedly, their goal doesn't count as Coleman was fouled.
I had happily airbrushed that goal out of history. Clearly King is a spoofer if he has to resort to clandestine mind control techniques.
I don't think there's anything wrong with changing your opinion. It's just that Dunphy's criticism of Ronaldo back in the day was over the top. No surprises there then!
He changes his opinion but still managed to miss the barn door with a banjo.
he “cut out the simulation in his game”
Tell that one to Juve's Chellini? On what planet does Dunphy reside?
Giles as usual gets away with it. Don't forget he was singing off the exact same hymnn sheet as Dunphy and now has also had a St. Paul on the Road to Damascus moment.

Andy Gray and the unique art of sports punditry
An okay read even if I found myself disagreeing with a lot of it. Andy Gray used grate on me long before any sexism scandals.
I listened to his commentray during arsenal v Liverpool on Sunday and it made me realise how glad I was he was gone. He's a complete know-it-all.
