    regional

something must have happened out there in regional they are a good side when full strength - if they keep going like this they will go down abbey seem to be fighting hard and getting a few points and are level with them i still don't think they will go down
i 'd have to go for mungret and summerville

for champs i go with pike or the view

hard to look beyond fairview in my opinion the only thing is if they concentrate too much on the fai, which knowing derek whyte i cant see it allowed to happen, pike dont convince me they still struggle to score goals and cant afford to be dropping points especially when they havent played any of the other big sides yet

as for the drop hard to look beyond summerville and hill celtic but as they say its a funny old game

    Unhappy

You're right Limerick Boy I'm a bit out of touch with the Limerick League these days. Decided to return to play for the hometown club in the CFL before I finally hang up my boots. The knocks are just taking that bit longer to get over these days. sniffle sniffle !!!

    jj??

jj hartigan was a poor enough goalie at youth level, never mind junior. just seems to be livin on a reputation. how bout danny fitzgerald? seen him play in goals for regional a few times, looks good and solid?

Houlihan was playing right Full...Buckley and Purcell...Barrett was in Midfield with Phelan..as for the "strange heads" that you mentioned, these lads areall good young lads who want toplay in this competition. A lot of the older guys just dont want to turn up so that is why they are in so bestof luck to them

first of all limerick boy i wouldnt put danny fitzgerald in goals for my subbuteo team he goes down in installments and is very slow off his line if i was to pick another keeper it would be johnson with balla failing that there isnt too many other options

clownboy i know all those fellas are good players especially johnny lyne i think he is going to be class, but in my opinion he probably left out 2 of the better young lads ger bourke and gary hannon but maybe it was a balance issue

Also its good to see he is picking young lads look at the ages on the squad
    Gordon Stewart 30s?
    Houlihan 21
    Buckley 24
    Purcell 26/7ish
    Considine must be 30
    Lawlor 24
    Phelan 23
    Barrett 25
    O'Keeffe 28
    Kelleher 20
    O'Neill 21
    subs
    Lyne 19
    Hartigan 19
    Maher 22
    Conway 28
    Long 19

thats a good young panel with one or 2 experienced bodies in it, but even the young lads are experienced Kelleher,O'Neill and Buckley are all internationals

Ya good young team there..I agree hannon and Bourke are very good players no doubt But they arecentral midfielders and you need a bit of experience in there..even though i think Bourke was actually in the squadbut could not make it.

It was a good performance from Limerick down there ...The pitch was heavy. The Kerry defence could not handle the Limerick Strikers Kelliher and O'Neil very pacey.Kelliher got the first an excellent goal 5 passes before it was crossed to Barrett and he cushioned a header into Kellihers path and he finished very well. The second was a long ball from Phelan over the top to O'neill and he chippedit over the advancing keeper ..Two up at half time and coasting ...created a lot of chances.Kerry scored 2 minutes into the second half and kerry score ...The ref Local officials gave Kerry a free...They wer biased all day to be honest ...Luckily Limerick were much Better than Kerry who werent great to be honest...The free was floated in and Houlihan headed the ball off of a kerry attcker..John Lyne who replaced Lawlor at half time scored 5 minutes later when the keeper made a hash of a back pass..The fourth goal came with about 10 minutes to go ...another good goal involving Lyne,Phelan, Barrett and O'neill who raced clear to square for Barry Conway to tap in ...Buckley O'neill and O'Keefe also went close to scoring in the secondhalf also...Overall it was a good performance from Limerick with O'Neill and Kelliher standing out..Lyne also did well when he came on

Well, this is his fifth or sixth season with Pike, and he played with the View and Dines before that, so I'm presuming he's 27 ish....could be wrong though..He got his international cap at the View didn't he..?

i thought he was younger to be honest although he has been around a long time hasnt he?
cant see jaws making too many changes to that team although i can see dunphy going straight back in right full with houlihan and purcell battling it out to play alongside buckley

I seem to remember him getting a cap as a sub in 1997 as a junior international....Fairview list him as one of their 'capped' junior internationals.
