Deportivo La Coruna club captain Fran and striker Diego Tristan, who sat out the Champions League first leg draw with Shelbourne on Wednesday night, are expected to miss out on the return in two weeks, while central defender Noureddine Naybet is also unavailable having joined Premiership side Spurs.

Fran and Tristan were ruled out of Wednesday’s game with injuries that have curtailed their ability to take part in pre-season training, and it is considered unlikely that they will have recovered in time for the second leg at the Riazor Stadium on Wednesday week.
