Derry City vs Cork City rescheduled

Derry City and Cork City will now take place on Thursday 26th August at the Brandywell with a kick-off time of 7.45 pm.
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

    Agreed.
It's because if we need a reply against Shels in the Cup, it has to be on the Saturday, since Shels are playing on Wednesday in the CL.

Reckon it would have been switched regardless though, the Club's trying out Thursday nights to see if it'll raise attendences.
IMO, Saturday's the better day though.

Actually, just heard that if our match with Shels ends in a draw, the Cork game scheduled for Thursday will be postponed to allow us to play our Cup game on the Saturday.

i wonder will these sat games be the way for the rest of the season for derry, hope not, i was looking forward to a weekend away in november. can't see to many city supporters traveling for that game....

btw....corner i knew you'd get shels in there somewhere
Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

Thursday nights suit the Derry public since none of them have to get up for work on the Friday!

    Thumbs down

Thursday probably suits me but IMO clubs should be made nominate a day & not be allowed to change it just cos they feel like it.

Fair enough if Derry may need date for replay but the l;eague have to become more serious & not allow clubs change dates mid season on a whim.
