Is Farrelly the right man to bring Bohs forward?

Is Farrelly the right man for Bohs? I find it bizarre that he didn't take charge straight away. I strongly believe that the Bohs board signed him as manager so they could get him as a player, talk about cutting corners!

Anytime I've seen someone take over as player/manager they only last about 12 months as a player before they give it up to concentrate on managing, so this will backfire on Bohs and end up as a waste of a good player. Fenlon for example still had a few years left in him but chose to pack in the playing side of things.

I think there are better, more experienced candidates out there for the managers job so I am voting no ( although I wish him well and hope that Bohs stay full time in the long run ).

Normally I would expect managers to prove themselves with smaller clubs before taking charge of a club like Bohs, or at least have some sort of track record as an assistant manager.

Bohs are too important to the league to see them go down the tubes like St. Pats, but hopefully it will work out for the best.

Yeah, it was kinda boring round here. Seriously though, I just wanted to add more to my original post but didn't think of editing the original.

I have to admit I'm a little scared and very confused about this one.

Apparently there were 21 (yes that's twenty-one) applicants for the job and the Board gave it to a 28 year old (he's since matured a year) with absolutely no previous managerial experience.

Can anyone make any sense out of that one for me?

Does anyone have a full list of the applicants ?

I heard that he was also brought in to replace Hunt who is leaving at the end of the season.

No, you won't get the full list of applicants unless you're on the Board. It is something I wouldn't mind getting my hands on either.

As for the Hunt comment, stop it, we'll have no more of that crazy talk.
