Cork City manager Liam Murphy is toying with the idea of fielding two different teams over a 24-hour period if they manage to defeat Latvian side Metalurgs Liepaja in the InterToto Cup first round.
City, who first leg against Liepaja is this weekend, have organised a prestigious friendly with Martin O'Neill's Celtic at Turners Cross on July 6.
But only later did they realise that victory over Liepaja would send them into a second-round clash with Dutch outfit Heerenveen just 24 hours after the Celtic game.
"If we go through – and that's a big if – we may have to send out two different teams for each game," said Murphy.
