Great to see Benno having such a super run.
It's hard to believe he is stil so young.
When you think back to the nightmares he has had to overcome ( the own goal in the Cup vs Rovers after 5 minutes and the infamous "back pass" vs $hell$ that ultimately lost us the game - also in the cup, the sending off vs Rovers etc ) and see him now solid as a rock, scoring goals, brim full of confidence.
His comments last Monday night on TV3 were the stuff legends are made of.
He is a talented player at the top of his game and gunning for revenge.
Do it for us Benno..........tomorrow and bury those ghosts of games past for ever more.

I confess that I nicknamed Alan Bennet 'the headless chicken' when he played midfield a few years ago, all super-fit box to box action but no more skill than the average under-12, and the ball just didn't seem to be of particular interest to him. Since he moved to defence, he's been a revelation, and is probably our best player this year. Well, up there with Fenn, especially in the european games. A great leader for the future too, and I take my hat off to him for his steely character.
he's playing above his actual potential abiltity
j'accuse!

fair play to Benno he puts so much into his fitness its certainly paying off.
A model pro. I think we've full faith in our centre halfs for the first time in years.......
his perfomances though good appear better than they actually are due to the back 4s general performancesOriginally Posted by GavinZac

Benno's been immense for us recently, he's been more consistent than Murray and at the same time he's helped Cillian come along through the cover and advice he offers during the game. Watch him for any ten minutes in any City game, he's a born leader.

Fair play to whoever started this thread. You are right about Benno. And it is good to read something positive on this ballz of a day.
