I could have made a killing last year for 2 Lower Cusack tickets. But for what? I would have missed out on my favourite sporting moment of my life. Priceless.

If the tickets have serial numbers or seat numbers, email the GAA and they will be cancelled.
Well if you are selling one on sunday - i gladly buy it off you - i'm not having much luck getting one for final

Seen that alright. Absolute disgrace. Makes me glad I haven't bothered my hole going to watch a GAA match in about 5 years. For once, I'll gladly sit and watch on TV rather than pay that sort of money to watch a match.

They don't have to go to the game. Not really much to complain about.
If they had an expensive summer it's up to them to go or not... It's not essential to life.

I wonder would you have a different view if Da Dubs didn't get to play the majority of games at home?

You are right though, they don't have to go but they are fully entitled to complain. The GAA,an amateur association, will take in approx €6m euro's in gate receipts Sunday, yet the board of one of the participants feels the only way they can raise another €60k is through what basically amounts to extortion.

There won't be ticket to be had I know, but there's no harm in highlighting it anyway.

What gets me, is that this 5 euro extra for each ticket is for the Donegal team 'training fund'. Seems they've been raising thousands upon thousands of euro all summer on the team training fund.
How much exactly does it cost to train a team one might ask? There must be over 100,000 euro raised toward the team training fund.

Oddly, you could not be more wrong there (though I do have some empathy with your statement). I have a pain in my gooch with constantly playing in Croker. I miss my away championship trips.

Strangely hope in one way that it's Mayo so people here will get over themselves.

On the other hand, I do hope it's Donegal so there's actually something to cheer about in the county.

I've yet to see a DL car in Derry that doesn't have a window flag on it, most Donegal shops seem to be selling out of the GAA stuff as soon as they get delivered. It's shocking how expensive the tickets are selling for on fleabay aswell. Bloody chancers! I'm hoping for a Donegal win, think they have a slight edge over Mayo.

Donegal. without a doubt. I thought that this year's performance would be next year for them but I didn't reckon on the run they went on in Ulster.

For football, Donegal. Plus I plain don't like Mayo as a team.

    Sunday won't come quick enough.

I'm quite looking forward to this on Sunday. Being a Donegal-man, I think I might just have to hop on the bandwagon and go with Donegal.

My mother's from Ballaghaderreen, mind. It's in Roscommon, although the town's GAA team play in the Mayo league as a legacy from pre-Local Government Act 1898 times, so there'll be divided loyalties in the family.

Christ, this town is absolutely mental all day today. Walked out my front door, a mile walk to the town centre, and you'd swear there was a music festival or something on in the town. Crazy.

Something came up yesterday meaning I had to miss the match, had to spend the day going around trying to dodge any word on the score so just after watching it this morning. Great game, Donegal deserved the win. Now, off to bed

There were times when I managed to dodge the result for a week in an Ireland qualifier while waiting for the VHS tape to arrive in the post.

That was an awful start by Mayo, criminal to do that in an AI final. It was a thoroughly deserved victory by Donegal, not just on the day but over the whole championship where they consistently put together a string of top level performances. Mayo worked hard in defense (after the 2 goals) and managed to give Donegal their toughest game this year. The considered pre-match opinion was that if Donegal were about level at ht, then the game was theirs. Donegal's 2nd half offensive blitz has blown away every team this year, yesterday was no different, even if Mayo's resistance and fitness was a near match.

    Donegal v Tyrone

I'll say no more about the draw for 2013.

Jim McGuinness took on a role today within Celtic Football Club as sports psychologist with primarily the younger sides from u-20 down.

He also confirmed he's staying on as Donegal manager.
