when did danny drew manage ye?
I go back a little further due to my old age, but if I had to pick an all time Limerick XI from my time as a supporter in the late 70's it would have to go along the lines of; Kevin Fitzpatrick (Senior); Al Finnucane, Ray O'Halloran, Paul Finnucane, Johnny Mullane; Kevin McCarthy, Tony Meaney, Daithi McMahon, Johnny Walsh; Derek McCarthy, Billy Hamilton. Subs; John Power (GK) Pat Purcell, Tony Morris, Ken De Mange, Albert Finnan.

Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Towards the end of the 2006 season. He had Tommy Lynch sitting in the dugout with in.
Highlights - Drawing 1 - 1 against Rovers in Tolka
Lowlights - His switch to a 3-5-2 with Paul Finucane given a midfield role marshalling Paddy McCourt in a League Cup semi.
I'd like to say it was the oddest time to be a Limerick fan since I got involved, really I would!
Dont think Derek mc carthy was better than Tommy Gaynor.
Brendan storan, joe o mahoney, paddy short were very good players that played at the highest level i think paddy short has passed away.
Brian McKenna - Peter Coyle - Ray O Halloran - Al Finucane - Joe O Mahoney - Johnny Walsh - Tony Meaney - Tommy Gaynor - Billy Hamilton - Tony Morris - Daithí McMahon
Des Kennedy???? maybe a spot on the bench.......
No joe hanrahan or Peter,or the mighty Howie King haha,I always used to like watching Gary Hulmes,he was quality, also Gerry Duggan,
I was at that game, was around new years day, limerick fans were slagging pats fans as their was a split in the league that time, top 6,bottom 6,and limerick pipped pats to a top 6 finish,Howie king was cat by the way,any of ye ever remember Alan Delgano,he was a Geordie,he broke his leg with limerick,he was a left full and looked like a quality player, was only a young guy,19 or 20
Alan Delgarno it was. He broke his leg away to Cork in a cup game.
Howie King was a favourite of mine, not because of his quality though. I remember the Star describing him as a 'towering hitman' before a game once - had a good laugh about it. He scored a few important goals for us though - first in the league cup final, and the goal away to Cork that saw us get into the top 6 that year.
I think somebody mentioned Ally Dawson earlier in the thread - a superb player even though he only played a few games for us.
Peter Mumby was another good one,I think he scored that day against Pats, never forget bus had to wait for a few hours that day to go home, one of the lads had a little too much whiskey in the stand and fell and busted his head,Muiris Dillon was his name, had to wait for him to be stitched up in hospital, gas man.don't think we won a game for the rest of the season after that,to the best of my knowledge.
