not to me.. thats a great boost to us if true.
Joe Gamble has missed the last 2 games and will be missing the next 2 (Rovers and Longford) because he is going on honeymoon am i the only one that finds that completely ridiculous?

Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
why is it ridiculous? He's entiled to get married whenever he likes,no different from any other job.|I'm sure the club were aware of his marraige before they signed him. No biggie and good luck to him.
"We've had a lot of good times, but you don't know how good they are until you have the bad ones" Tony Adams
Err no? He got married and deserves to enjoy it and the honeymoon. It's ridiculous that you expect him not to do that. Some things are a lot more important then football, Especially at League of Ireland first division level
I was a bit miffed about this when I heard about it first too.
But turns out he mentioned it when he was signing last year.
And in fairness to all concerned I'm sure they didn't think twelve months ago that we'd be fannying around four points behind a mediocre Longford team in the worst First Division ever when the time came.
Summer break in 2 weeks could have went on honeymoon then.
Cant see how it is ridiculous for me to expect someone to do a job they are paid for in his case that he is paid well for (not as well as Cork fans say) just LOI football or not its his job.
He had it booked before he signed so fair enough then my main problem with it was that i thought he had knew it would be in the middle of the season when he booked it.
It's a big loss to us alright with having two big games coming up but he is entitled to it too.
At least this gives O'Leary a few more games. I think he has been excellent recently.
could be worse, half our team were at the wedding on Saturday and we've a game tonight
It was booked well in advance and he made the club aware of it when he signed. It's inconvenient for sure but I wouldn't expect him to change his plans. Equally BWA it's easy to forget that the club means more to the fans than the players. I don't think many of us would cancel or rearrange something as momentous as a wedding and honeymoon that we'd booked long before because things are a bit sticky at work at the moment... I say congrats to him and his missus and hopefully he'll come back refreshed and focused. It gives somebody else a chance to win player of the month too.
The ball is round and has many surprises.
Ah ya i was misinformed that he had booked while with us which is what i thought was ridiculous. Seen as he had it booked before it then there is nothing he or the club could do.
I wonder have Cork anyone worth signing that could have been tapped up while drunk at the wedding
