No idea, all I can think of is that he's needed at City. Played a blinder by all accounts as City's U19s beat Bayern 6-0 yesterday.
I'd heard that, highlights of the game here: http://mcfc.co.uk/Carousel?id=6fcf19...58a7620&play=1

I read somewhere that Viera really rates Jack Byrne, Ian Lawlor, some Spanish and some Portuguese lad. I'll try and find it, but he was talking about being really happy with the academy and them having alot of local Mancunians in the youth teams, but he seems to namecheck those four lads in the article. Fairly sure that he told Pellegrini to look at Ian Lawlor and that was why he was upped to their Champions League squad for a game a few weeks ago.

Here's one Kelly scored for Reading's under-18s against Bolton a few months ago:
1-1, heading into second half injury time. UCD's Colm Crowe equalising at the end of the first.
finished 1-1, Ireland top the group on 7 points, Sweden in second after thumping Azerbaijan 5-1
just read that France have been eliminated after finishing third in their group behind Iceland and Belgium!
