    Mervue (home) 4/5/12

Obviously, a win is all that is acceptable. Mervue had an impressive result against Finn Harps last week, but it is the only win of the season for them (for both Galway clubs actually). They are the kind of team that Limerick should not be too worried about.

A big step up from last Friday is needed. What changes would you make? O'Brien on from the start on the left? Any room for P. Quinn in the starting line-up this time? Gaffney upfront or on the right wing? Is it the tactics that need changing, or just more effort from the team?

They won well on Friday but we have to be beating them convincingly. We are supposed to be the top team in this division and have only showed real quality in fits and starts.

    Limerick 4-0 Mervue.

Why would you have O Brien on the right after he clearly couldnt play there in the last game.

Stick 4-3-3 ish just do it properly.

No point shoe horning players into a 442.

    We will win.

    It mightn't necessarily be pretty.

Going from a 451 to a 433 is a big jump,we all know we have the players but it just doesn't make sence to crowd midfield where we have some of the best players in the league in these positions, someone needs to be upfield with Behanand fast wingers to feed off!!!!!

2-0 a win is a win dire first half scully got some stick on the far side at half time. I thought bradley was very poor again what he did in the first half while through on goal was a disgrace instead of side footing the ball past the keeper he tried to a flick ( one leg around the other) he should of been subbed on the spot the guy thinks he is better than everyone in this squad and league he need a serious kick up the hole.

2nd half was a lot better from the team behan great header best thing of the night was young Collins making on his 2nd senior appearance and has scored in both looks to have a very bright future.

Terrible first half and only really got going after the first goal and then the red card. Gamble and Bradley were non existent in the middle, Behan did well but was very isolated at times. Gaffney and O Brien did ok, Shane Tracy prob was the most composed player on the park. the team performance Still not good enough though. Not enough creativity from midfield but the lads don t seem to have the ability to find space needed, the pitch doesnt help but a win will do. The 2 goals were very good finishes, agree about Cian Collins he looks a really good prospect

Agree with most comments above that a win was most important but it was still overall not a great performance.I cannot get my head around the need for the long ball tactics with the quakity of players(on paper) we have.Cian Collins looks a good prospect but we thought the same about Sean Brosnan till Scully started playin him out wide and in midfield.
Behan worked so hard for so little and it only paid off when someone played off him closely. That needs to be sorted if we're continuing with the long ball.

Scully didn't say a word to him...joke...if it was Brosnan or any of the other young fellas they'd have heard all about it, speaking of Brosnan I hope he was injured last night cos if Scully has dropped him altogether after his mistake last week which he didn't even give him time to make up for it is very very harsh

They could have had a penalty at 1-0, Purcell just like Longford let the ball run by him thinking it was going out then he almost caught the cross

Spot on he only ever goes after the young lads......Brossie wasn't injured either the lads confidence will be ruined now.

a welcome 3pts albeit a lucky win.first goal well finished by behan though scored while mervues centrehalf is off the pitch getting attention.mervues for case for a pen soon afterwards was very legit, hard to believe ref did,n give it.good finish by collins for second goal but mervue defending for it quite comical.game throughout was a shocker, a competition for who could lump it longest and give away at will narrowly won by mervue.poor enough crowd and well bored for most of it bar young collins introduction,so bored in fact our main discussion centered on how limerick managed to get everyone on the bench given the size of staff and subs alike.sad really.

In the last month he's at various stages dropped Corie, Guthrie, Paddy and Barry Ryan aswell in fairness.

We're idealess enough going forward without putting Bradley out to farm.

I really have to start making myself clearer...I dont mean just dropped but the way he deals with them imo taking Brossie off at half time like that was a disgrace.
I think if it was one of the more senior players that had made the exact same mistake there is no way would he have done it to them and like Harpin said if it was one of the younger lads that had done what Bradley did i wouldn't be surprised if they were taken off.
