    A Good Bet?

Just checked my Paddy Power account there and I forgot that I'd stuck €5 on

EUR 5.00 To Win Accumulator (4) Internet 1
    Waterford v Longford Town
    Draw 9 - 4 Lose

    Drogheda v Shamrock Rovers
    Drogheda 4 - 5 Win

St. Patrick`s Ath v Cork City
    Cork City 7 - 5 Win

    Sligo Rovers v UCD
    UCD 10 - 11 Win

    Bloody waherfurr are rubbish!
    Couldn't even manage a draw.

Anyway I was thinking 4-1 for Dinamo Bucharest to beat Man Yoo isn't a bad option coupled with Shels to draw with Depor at 3-1
FC Basel are 2-1 to beat Inter at home with the draw at 9-4

    So if you want to stick a few games together, how about;
Liverpool to beat Grazer AK 10 - 11 (Away win)
Dinamo Bucharest to beat Man Yoo 4-1 (Home win)
Shels to draw with Depor at 3-1 (Shels at home)
Monaco to beat NK Gorcia 10-11 (Away win)
FC Basel to draw with Inter Milan 9-4 (Basel at home)

€1 down would get you a return of €236.90 on these results.

    Bloody Romanians!
Couldn't even hold on to a 1-0 lead.
    They've denied me €1,180 odd.

Speaking of bets I backed Harrington at 40-1 to win the USPGA
he is now 20-1 (4 under par) and joint 8th, 3 shots behind the leader Darren Clarke (7 under).

I also backed McGinley at 200-1 and he is now 40-1 (3 under), joint 16th,
I also backed him again at 100-1.

I backed them each way 1/4 odds a place 1,2,3,4,5 so hopefully I will see
    a return

McGinley has been on very good form recently coming second in a minor(ish)
tournement (Dutch Open) so I though 200-1 was a steal

Harrington had a poor start but recovered going from +2 to -4 in just 12 holes finishing with three birdies, I hope in start in similar good form!!

I will be hoping they have another good day tomorrow, although knowing
my luck I will have jinxed them by posting this

If you fancy a bet don't back Harrington on Paddy Power as you will only
get 14-1, although you get a more generous 66-1 on McGinley there.

Probably not much value left in them now though.

Els will take some beating though (6 under and 4-1) after he lost my
money in a play-off in the last big event (US open?). He was big odds on to
win the playoff so I should have covered my bet, unfortunately I was
    greedy and didn't.

Thats my problem with football bets, I get greedy and go for the extra
goal or 2 to get bigger odds.

Well McGinley slipped back to jiont 27th -1 par
but Harrington is up to joint 4th -6 par still 3 behind
the leader E Els on on -9.
Harrington has another 10 holes to play yet on
his round ,but I fear he may slip back.

Well Harrington did slip back but recovered to -5, 4 shots adrift.
He needs to finish in the top 5 to give me a return on my each
    way bet.

I suspect Clarke will finish ahead of him (he usually does when I
an looking) but you never know.

Shame it don't appear to on TV, good luck to Darren but I would love
Harington to win, a) because hes Irish (southern) and b) cos he
seems to be ahes a real 'charmer', 'very media friendly'

Anyway at 4 behind it will keep it interesting for me for the next couple of
    days hopefully.

WOW McGinley is up to -6 and joint 6th place!!!
I couldn't believe it when I looked at the scores just now,
I thought it as a misprint.
He made 5 birdies in 8 holes (still 10 more to go in this round).

Maybe my luck has changed, if he keeps it up I might be in the money.
If he makes the top 5 I will get a quater the odds on bets of 200-1
and 100-1. Thas 50 and 25 to one!!.

There is a long way to go yet though so the Champagne is kept on ice

Dang McGinley finished joint sixth of three, just outside the money.
    Just my luck

Harrington went to pieces on his last round, six over par and dropped
about 40 places, so I guess he lost more money than I did!!

Not much as he was 200-1 so I would get 1/5 or 1/4 of that
    so maybe 50-1.

But there were 3 in sixth place so that would be down to 17-1,
unless he had climbed into join 4th where I would have got closer
    to 50-1 I think.

I didn't have much on it 15p ew at 200-1 and 25p ew at 100-1.
So maybe £7.50 and £10 if he got an unshared place.

    Is that a typo? 15p e/w?
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.

Last of the big spenders eh?

Well had he won he would have me about £38 which is a reasonable
amount to me, almost a tank full of petrol.

My biggest bet ever was £210 on Man U to win the FA Cup at 1-3 on
and that won me £70, not that much more than the 15 e/w would have
won me. Nonetheless to say I was sweating a little when it was still 0-0
    approaching half time.

Also its is much more fun losing 30p than £210.

I have had bigger wins than that before, but not recently, my
beginners luck appears to have worn off.
