If it was the ref that was down for it,dont know what he is like now but two years ago he was atrosis, that year he provided a great comedy on the pitch here when he allowed a goal for us after not giving the opposite team a goal, after protest he dissalowed our goal and allowed there goal,it was probaly lucky for him that we won the game easily, and after the game he said to me he taught the ball had gone into the net for the goal he allowed, fair enough he got it right in the end but could not do what he did in the laws of the game.

Same ref took charge of the Iorras B v Charlestown game last weekend. Its a joke really letting him ref any game. Cannot take control of the game which in turn can take a turn for the worst. Not fair on any team to have to watch some of the unbelievable calls he makes. Should not be a ref full stop, without being too personal against him !

Its an absolute disgrace that these people are allowed to officiate when they havn't got a clue. I saw this guy at both games menioned above and he is the worst referee iv'e ever seen ( well 1 of six). Its unacceptable that players should have to fork out every year and weekly in some cases to be subjected to this pathetic excuse for a referee. Its obvious he never played the game because he has absolutley no clue and i dont accept that we have no choice because we need referees as if this is the alternative then were better off without them. Does anyone assess these guys?? Its no wonder these people end up getting abuse hurled at them because they bring it on themselves. How do they get appointed to big games? The game between Moy Villa and Westport was a very important fixture and the league decided to send the most incompetent ref (well 1 of 6 as i said) to officiate. Villa were the best team by a street mile but he constantly stopped the game and never let it flow or allow advantage which fustrated the players and spectators alike. Pathetic

I believe that after a game he oficiated 2 years ago,the acessor in Mayo was at the game and was suposed to have spent an houe giving out stink to him,as to why he was given such a big game like that when there was very few games on that night,he was probaly down to officiate the origional game. The ref we had last night was very poor,no advantage played, players going with arms leading, ball clearly going off the atacker and still gave a corner, bad decisions on off side.

    Tuohy Cup Final
    Moy Villa V Charlestown Ath.
It should be a very good game between 2 evenly matched teams. This should be alot closer than the last 2 divisional finals. Charlestown won the league game between them by the only goal and it just might give them the edge, mhaybe even on penos

Well done to Moy Villa on cup win, was a great game and deserved win. We could have had the game won by half time but for some bad luck hittin the crossbar but credit to Moy Villa who came back well playin some great stuff in fairness. Some very soft goals conceded by us which was very un characteristic but these things happen. With any luck both of us will win in the q/f this weekend and meet n the semi, would be excellent for the division to have one of us in the final...

Ya big surprise ye boys didn't beat Clew Bay I thought ye wud take care of them easy though it's hard bounce back after cup final day. Still gutted we were were bet last week even a week on, I think we were far superior. There keeper got injured and one of there outfield players stepped in and pulled off 6 ridiculous saves, we got no luck atal. Big games n league today important to bounce back again, wev tough one against Kilmore who realistically know if they lose they out of promotion race so it will be a big one for both teams

    Killala 2 - 1 Ballyglass
Very valuable 3 points in our relegation batle in a tough hard earned victory, first half a Lee free kick was fumbled into the net by the keeper, 1 up atn h.t, they equalised from close range, grab the winner when good work by Mark left spud to rifle home form close range he later hit the post with a header.Alot of hard work still left but with a no of injured players coming back.

Some result there Round Tower gives us good breathing space n the race for promotion. Villa 6 points ahead of 3rd so Certs to go up now surely. Way league is goin tho there will be few surprises yet. We beat Kilmore 3-0.. Should have had about 8 only for some poor finishing...

Mulranny V Westport at the sports park in westport on Thursday, must win game for both sides. The villans looking very strong and firm favourites to go up, Charlestown with 2 massive away games coming up in westport and Attymass and may need a few more favours to guarentee promotion. Game in westport the preverbial 6 pointer and game in the mountains the title decider!!

Westport b 3 - 3 Mulranny. Result from last night.

All to play for this weekend with the Covies hosting Charlestown and Moy Villa catching an early flight to Kilmore where the home side know a loss will see them dragged into a relegation battle. Ballyglass will feel they need to get back to winning ways after only collecting 2 points from 9 however Mulranny cannot afford to let Killala or Kilmore get away from them at the bottom as Kilalla can practically relegate Iorras in Carenash if they bag all 3 points. Major squeeky bum time for Premier B

Would agree if we beat Iorras they are as good as gone,Kilmore are already in a relegation dog fight and if Killala,Westport,Kilmore and Mulranney all win this weekend Ballyglas could be drawn into it,but on the other hand if Ballyglass win and Charleston and Villa loose they would be back into promotion contention.

Kilmore still have some breathing space but a poor result this weekend and then away game in Ballyglass will put severe pressure on. Kilalla need to keep recent good form going to keep outa the relegation mire.

    Iorrais Aonaithe B 4 - 1 Killala
Back really in a dog fight, very disapointing display after the great win the previous week,3-0 down very early on,Leroy pulled one back before the break to give us some hope with playing with a strong breeze in the secound half, concede one midle of the 2nd half to kill off any hope.2 big shocks at the weekend with Westport puting 3 past Charlestown only 48 hours after drawing with Mulranney and Mulranney beating Ballyglass. If Villa beat Kilmore they are nearly certainties for champions,Westport could yet sneak promotions,Relegation is betweenIorrais,Kilmore, ourselves and Mulranney.
