On the bright side, the avg. attendances in FD are slightly up from last year(with exception of two).
For once maybe someone will call me "sir" without adding "you're making a scene."

I imagine Limerick might get a big crowd next Friday for the Longford game, with with it being top of the table, start of a bank holiday weekend.

I'd say its just that .... normally we'd have close to 4000 for that game (at this particular time i mean) if we didn't have those friendlies. Not to worry.

Another great crowd in Cork tonight
expected bigger for a Shels game with good weather. the two midweek friendlies may have detracted from the attendance. Hard to ask people to go to 3 home games in 4 days.

    1,200 isn't insignificant.

Barely covered costs though i'd say ... would have done way better if there wasn't a game the following night. But i think the week was successful enough so not too put out by it.

    EDIT:

258 in Finn Park last night according to The Star today. Most certainly the worst of the season so far.

Not a bad number when you consider that half the County, town & country are away on holidays right now.Bout 30/40 Cork supporters?
Hopefuly we can break the 1500+ mark for the next home game when St.Pats come a calling on Monday 20 August.

Fair point, 6 people I usually sit beside are all on holidays, I was like a nomad wandering the ground tonight ! very small away support, (as we would have also taken to Cork) so I'd say all things considered, and with us in second last spot, the club would be reasonably happy getting over a 1,000 (just !)
