The irony in this thread is unbelievable.
Is there not more use in looking at the trends in the attendances rather than absolutes anyway? That makes whether clubs count non attending season tickets or not irrelevant, once the basis is consistent over a few seasons.
Insiders (i.e. us) know that some figures are inflated, so what if the impression is given to outsiders that the league and/or clubs are slightly more popular than they are?
I don't see it helping GUST's cause to be continually justifying themselves by doing down others either tbh.
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.
Tonight's attendances as per Extratime.ie
Tallaght 2,100 (est)
Dundalk 1,000 (est)
Mervue 150
Tolka 1,131
Limerick ?
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
Would agree with bullit and Oriel. Around 1300-1400 imo
Cumann Peile Dún Dealgan - Champions 2015 (too many accolades to be typing)
Termonbarry Athletic TID!
2,100 in Tallaght
200 or so in Limerick I'm told. I'm sure someone will have an official number later.
541 at the Limerick game last night
Longford v Waterford UTD attendance 400 estimate( extratime.ie)
when you consider the fact that we were playing the worst team to play in the league in many years it wasn't that bad of an attendance!!!!!
