A lot have been talking about his weight but I don't see an issue with it as he's been putting in serious work on the pitch doing a lot of the scrappy stuff. He's starting to chip in with the goals now too so can't complain.

Denis is probably the hardest working player in the squad.

The amount of thankless donkey work he was doing when we had one up top was unreal. His bulk was arguably helping too.

And now he's scoring a few.

Himself and Gaffney have 5 each in the league going into the break. Doesn't look particularly spectacular but you have to go back to the first year in Pike for the last time we had two strikers scoring regularish.

At the start of the season I thought he was overweight, but not anymore. He was immense in the home win at Athlone, playing behind Rory Gaffney.

Handy that he's a complete donkey then, isn't it?

Was waiting for that one when I saw LTID's comment. I was originally going to say donkey work in my comment but knew someone would say something along the lines of its handy so cause he is a donkey so changed it to " a lot of the scrappy stuff"

Every team in the First Division needs a good donkey, chase long balls, get flick ons, kick people, mouth off, generally horse (donkey??) fellas around the place. All too often it's your bread and butter down here.

14 goals in 24 starts since he arrived as well.

Still better then O'Flynn in fairness.
Poor oul Stevo is injured again I think.

Didn't even score against Shels this year. (which I assumed was what Pats had signed him for.)

O'Flynn was injured the week leading up to that Shels game. Buckley's masterplan had to be quickly altered

Behan is a much better quality donkey than O'Flynn I think, but maybe when Stevo gets back fit and playing regular for Pats we will see his talent.

O' Flynn was signed as a squad player, bringing a striker in in July. O'Fylnn wont be near the starting 11.

Behan effectively took O'Flynn's place so Scully at least thinks he's better. Bit about Behan being a Donkey above is in jest. haven't seen him play in 3 years. Have seen o'Flynn play only a handful of games for Pats this season. He was better than I expecetd him to be though. He's maybe 3rd or 4th choice for us when all are fit

Yeah, poor miss. Hasn't played a minute since through injury though.

He started 3 games. Scored in one, missed a pen in another, got injured in the 3rd

Longfords crowd are terrible for a team on top of the league and GAA has not been competing with fixtures yet.

I know Limerick are top of the FD attendance table, but even if we get into PL next season and get Market's Field sorted, how much of it will we fill?

At a guess you could double your crowds. Wouldnt be the best or worst supported club but if the increase in att is small then you could be one of the worst supported clubs in the premier and could get outnumbered at home once or twice vs Cork or Shams.

If we went premier I'd say you are talking 1,500 regularly and then if Cork or Shams visit you could be talking 2,500 - 3,000. Anything above that for us would need us to be successful or at least relatively successful in the premier. We got 1,200 against Longford when we had the chance of closing the gap to 1 point a few months ago but the loss hit us hard. If we keep up the winning streak we are currently on then I expect the crowds to be back near the 1,000 mark.

Finn Harps second best average attendance in the first division and almost the same as some Premier teams. Class support up there. Imagine if they were doing well in the Premier, they would be out doing their neighbours Derry and would be competing with Rovers for numbers IMO
    Here on a technicality.
