Any which way they come.... Big pot of boiled spuds, boiled in their skin, peeled, and about half a pound of butter.... Lovely, who needs meat and veg to go with that.

Top 5 options....
1) Floury, main crop boiled spuds with lots of real butter
2) Chips (preferably from the old local chipper in Manchester)
3) Boxty (served with fried egg - runny yolk spread over it)
4) Boiled baby new potatoes
5) Yesterday's left overs, fried up as part of a full irish

At the risk of helping the competition - I'm supporting the Christmas party thread! - where the hell did that one on Limerick junior soccer one come from?

That entire section wasn't even open when these threads started. Has anyone read it and have they actually kept it on Limerick junior football for all those posts?

Ah totally forgot bout the old boxty had some today, wedges also oh and potato bread!!! Love it love it love it

that kinda crept up from nowhere didnt it! no idea the London Christmas party one had so many either.... and that started last Christmas, think we got a bit lazy maintaining this thread!
