Personally, I think our best 4 defenders are Haverty, O'Sullivan, Flynn and Tyrell. I think when everyone is fit and free from suspensions that is the back 4 most would agree on. Of late Haverty has been playing centre back with O'Sullivan right full, it will be interesting to see if TC continues with this

I prefer Sulli at right full as we lose the power of Havo going forward. Jamie Mulhall excites me greatly though, some future ahead great to see.

way stronger. more experience in defence, midfield and attack. goalkeeper is probably slightly weaker.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

After Flynn's careless sending off, it's looking like we'll be fielding the most inexperienced back 4 ever to line out for the Town in a Premier Division game this Saturday. Potentially looking like:

    Beirne - Hughes - O'Reilly - Mulhall

With the inability of the older players to be be able to tackle properly (and then getting themselves booked/sent off), maybe it's for the best that the younger lads are getting more game time than what might have been expected.

Thank God I'm not going to harps on Saturday. We won't have a team left after it.

McGlynn played as a right full with Drogheda and Bray so he should take that spot before Beirne. Powell, Haverty and Rossiter are then ruled out?

Rossiter and Powell looked like hamstring injuries, don't know how serious. Rhys still out, Flynner suspended. Don't know what injury Haverty has.

That leaves Mulhall, O'Reilly, Beirne, Noack Hofmann and Hughes (who I think is actually a centre mid). Also as Briuk said McGlynn could play back there.

Tonight could easily end up with 7 or 8 put past us or we could end up with a 0-0!

Don't see it being 7 or 8 but certainly 3 or 4 nil would be no surprise at all. The squad looked light on defenders from the start.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
