Ah sure, he wouldn't be good enough for a LOI club, he hasn't managed anyone of note, in the LSL.
Guus Hiddink has signed a deal with Anzhi Makhachkala, so he's unavailable...Damn.

The Rodster rumours surely couldn't have had any substance? Imagine getting a 40k transfer windfall and spending it on Roddy Collins. I wouldn't even let him in my house.
Signed a contract means what it says on the tin.
Agreed terms means they have agreed in principle to your offer but haven't put pen to paper.
I've always thought its flipping lunacy to put out a press release saying someone has "agreed terms", it's basically waving a red flag for any other club interested in this bloke that he has a figure in his head but hasn't signed anything yet so come and get him.
I've never seen Limerick issue an "agreed terms" press release.*
*We just release press releases about trial players on licencing days.![]()
Can any Sligo fan confirm 100% that what I was just told is untrue, that Sligo are paying a whack of money to Monaghan in compensation? Just off skype with one reputable journo and he said it's a done deal. But it could be a wind up. He did say that Cook was gone 100% before the news broke, but this time....
How could anybody on here confirm that 100%?
Sure the club released a statement a week back that Cook was staying. Tells you all you need to know about this sorry fiasco.

Examiner claiming that Rico, Johnny McDonnell and Brian Little have applied for Sligo job.
Kevin Kilbane as player manager is fav as per back page of the star, it goes on to say about 40 people applied so far, & Sligo are likely to announce their new manger within the next 7 days
I was surprised myself, nothing in the LOI would surprise me, but I thought that the club would at least be on the ball. The journo is spot on normally, though for this one....it just was too shocking as I know 1 person who applied and they have a "meeting" this weekend/week. Again, it's the LOI, so anything can happen.
Good start by Cookie, 2-0 down at home to team joint bottom of league.
if there is any truth to the names in the paper been linked you have to say there some fairly big names in there. i wouldnt appoint kilbane cause he has no expierence so he would be out for me. Brian Little is an interesting one, former PL manager. im getting the feeling the rovers board will appoint one of these "bigger" names as opposed to rico or roddy. Rico would prob be my first choice i have to say.
