    African Nations 2012

    Always like this tournament
Will gamble a 100 pounds (all I can afford at moment!)
Here are some of my bets (with Betfair uk)

Think its Ivory Coasts to lose with Drogba, kalou and gervinho up front and a solid defence. 13/8 isnt much of a price though. (£7)

Senegal to make the final. 13/8 (£5)
Will probably meet Ghana in semis so will be a tough call, but i think they are an improving team this year and probably do enough to scrape past Ghana.

    7/2 a Senegal - IC final. (£5)

    Top goalscorer - will stick with ivory coast - so drogba is 7/1 (£5), Kalou is 19/1 (£10), gervinho 24/1 (£3), bony 27/1 (£2), doumba 15/1 (£2)

Group betting, no real value but did Gabon to win group c at 3/1 in the weakest group imho (£2)

Today's games (n most of the dosh!)
Did Libya (15/8) and Senegal (4/6) in a double and singles.
Libya a nation with a lot of pride at the moment against Eq Guinea who cant be that good? And Senegal to beat a weak Zambia.
    Scores - 2-1 to Libya (13/1 -£2) and 3-0 (16/1-£2) to Senegal
Plus all the basic over goals bets and to nil bets that one can do in any game.

Ok lets see how long I can last. (please god not two boring nil-nil games!)

    Starts tomorrow.

Not something I'd bet on but just for a bit of fun I'll match your £100 to see which of us can return the most profit by the end of the tournament.

My first bet; Libya @ 3.0 bwin, bet £5.

Not a bad first game, pity about the result but the best team def won. Banked a pound, come on Senegal, please dont let me down!!!!!
Never guess that Libya were in a civil war, jesus diving all round the place and really should have won this game, but Eq Guinea spirit came through and they were the better team. Randy and Balboa were the stars, and a good game from the ref too.
Alos enjoyed the commentary from Eurosport whoever it was, on the ball.

God damn it,lol. If not the third goal wud be fecked. Banked a 9 due to that, so down 90 squid. Jesus why were Senegal playing such a high line, still should get out of the group, but another team that should have won but due to bad coaching!!
Anyway 15 quid left to play around with for tomorrows games
    3-1 to angola 41/1 , £2(like these bets,lol)
IC any score over 3-0, 3-1, ie any unquoted 4/1 £2
angola to win game 2/1 £2
over 3.5 goals in IC game 9/4 £2.27
over 3.5 goals in angola game 9/2 £3.73
    and thats that!!!!
(and the rest is for the double!)

IC V Sudan - fairly pedestrian stuff, awful defending at the back for IC, reall lax stuff and a better team than Sudan would have punished them. Sudan were awful unlucky not to snatch a goal, but hell at least Drogba and IC are off the mark

God damn it unlucky for that third goal, but cant fault Gabon they were great and did all the work in the first half and Niger never looked like doing anything. Gabon look good going forward.
Need a draw in next game if not then will be waiting till groups finish for some dosh!

Feck that anyway, wow what a good game, just so close for 2-2, wow, lol. Ok take a break from this, have some very small bets on IC, Ghana, Senegal and Gabon to win their groups. Anyway still shaking after that game, what a chance in end to get 2-2!!!! Happy for Gerets anyway, never rated him.
A good nations cup so far, all games are exciting.

    AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH Drobga why, why, why.

So bad tipping on my part - about -68, but oh could and should be different. IC should have won the damn thing, but fair dues to zambia, a very well coached team (unlike IC), with speedy wingers, fighters and players with heart. Well done Zambia, hoep ye can go on and qualify for the world cup.
As for IC.(and sengeal).......................... - says something about African managers IMHO
