Very good film, but you need a strong disposition to watch the lynchpin scene with Monica Bellucci. (Trying to avoid spoiling it for anyone who hasn't seen it.) It makes you really appreciate just how good some actors are, and how much they are willing to go through to lift a script off the page.
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!

I watched Irreversible a good while ago, it did nothing for me, as in, I wasn't the least interested in what it had to offer.

On Vincent Cassel, he is brilliant in Mesrine. He carries the role befitting one of the greatest screen actors.
Unfortunately for such a brilliant actor he doesn't get the roles befitting of his talent, though I haven't seen Black Swan.
Another favourite of mine is Daniel Auteuil.
Has anybody seen Cache (Hidden), directed by Michael Haneke? I've seen it 3 times and I still haven't worked out all the questions, never mind answers.
French film starts with Cache. I just love talking about this film with other people who have seen it.

Irreversible - fascinating film, I admire the craft a lot more than I admire the content.

Anyone seen Martyrs? One for the extreme horror/intense experience acolytes - it's pretty horrific, opinion was split amongst those I watched it with whether it was worthwhile or a pointless exploitation.
    Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?

It's very very funny as well in some parts. WATCH IT!
I watched it again as it was on some tv channel recently, it's even better 2nd time.
Sometimes it's funny what you remember from a film you've seen in the past and then be faced with memory versus the reality.
I thought it had a more complicated plot than it actually was, instead it's a wonderfully crafted story, beautifully filmed.
    It certainly is a classic.

Haneke is a great film-maker. I've seen Cache, but it must have been about six or seven years ago now; could do with giving it another watch to refresh the memory.

Caché is good , very good lead performance and contains one of the most shocking moments I've seen in film in quite a while.
