Great story, what interesting times Connors is having in Africa. You have to remember that the Bohs board were desperate to get this guy in as their manager only a few short years ago. Are those people still involved in running things at Dalymount. Dundalk and Galway both in their wisdom also hired him. He told those who were paying his wages in Galway that there were unprofessional and that the next job he would get would be with professional football people, It looks like he has at last found soccer people, down in Africa of all places, who seem to be able to make a reasonable judgement of character. Also I understood that Seanie had a girlfriend in Killybegs, maybe she went out to Africe with him.
By the way Connor's time in Galway only contributed in a very small way, if any to the sorry state we are in now, but his employment only indicated how badly run Galway Utd was.

Sure if I remember correctly, he got a substantial pay-rise behind GUST's back when they were trying to steady the ship. That was nowhere near the stupidest thing that was done.

People are saying just desserts and all that, but he's probably going to come out of this with his money or a substantial portion of it.

Donegal, Dundalk and Zimbabwe - not surprised he is destitute?

Sure when he wins the lottery in africa we can all contribute to release the funds from his bank account - letters on the way to Dalymount, Oriel, and Terryland

In fairness it is not a nice situation for anyone to find themselves in, regardless of their past. Should get good old Stevie McG onto the job, he and Mr. G would sort out the situation!

Apparently Mr Connor has been reduced to crashing in other people's homes. He is considering coming out of Oscar Pistorius's bathroom now, but Oscar's girlfriend is dead against it.

PLEASE KINDLY PARDON ME FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE

    Good Day,

Please, kindly pardon me for any inconvenience this letter may cost you because I know it may come to you as a surprise as we'have no previous correspondence.

I got your contact as i was searching for helping hand in your country , this is why I decided to appeal to you directly for assistance because the embassy has ignored my pleas.

I am a football manager who has been relieved from his post. It has defiled all forms of legal and moral evaluation, as I have been unfairly treated by those who know little of my talent or hard work.

Before my expulsion I had a foreign account set-up in south Africa up to the tune of $6.5million united state dollar which I told the bank was for the importation of multi-coloured bibs and footballs.

I want you to do me a favour to receive this funds to a safe account in your country or any safer place as the beneficiary.

For your assistance, I have two options for you. Firstly you can choose to have 5% of the money for your assistance, and helping my family investing this funds, or you can go into partnership with me for the proper profitable investment of the money in your country. Which ever the option you want, please do notify me in your reply.

I have plans to do investment in your country, into football clubs such as Galway City FC.This is my reason for writing to you. Please if you are willing to assist me, indicate your interest in replying soonest.

    Thanks and best regards .
    Mr S Connor

Coleman named Evertons Player of the Month for March. Well done Seamie!

In other news, on his player page, his sponsor is one Sean Connor....it couldn't be, could it....?

Yes. Sean Connor has sponsored him every year since he's been at Everton I heard.

I'd imagine Waterford would be more in line to pick up someone like Pat Scully.

First I have heard of this. Good chance this game will be on tg4 on sunday; so all Sean's fans can look in. I am sure he would also be interested in the Finn Harps job so a win on sunday will further enhance his cv. Come to think of it the Galway FC/SD job will be available as well.
