Well I'm flying into Berlin on the Saturday morning from London. Gonna get the train into the city and work it from there.

Anyone ever been before? What's the accommodation like?

Flying from Munich to Wroclaw on the 9th and return on the 19th of June for 150 euro. Just posting this as it could be an option for people who want to go the scenic route to Poznan :-)

K.O. time is 8.45 local time.

Flights to Prague are around 170 return for the ten days. Problem is getting to and fro Poznan from there. Doesnt appear to be any direct train so it seems that flying into a German city is the better option.

Flight prices to Berlin have also unfortunately rocketed in the last couple of days. Hopefully might settle back down.

Berlin is a decent alternative for Poznan, and there's lots of accommodation available. It's a bit of a problem getting back there after the games, and as for Gdansk, it's even more awkward.

Warsaw seems to be the most accessible to both cities. Again the transport overnight afterwards is a bit of an issue, but at least it's direct. However, you won't get back to Warsaw until 6-7am, and as a destination, you couldn't describe Warsaw as either attractive or glamourous. While the rest of Poland has moved on, it's a city still stuck in 1945 post-traumatic stress.

The stadium is out towards the airport, so for anyone driving, you can park up at the airport carpark for a couple of days and get the half hour shuttle bus into town. Not a huge walk from airport to stadium either. Shuttle from airport - downtown is 20 mins and only costs a few bob.

    Thanks zero.

A group of us have just booked the 6.05am to Berlin from Luton on 9th June, and back again on 11th June at 4.55pm. Cost was about sterling 120 all-included (tax, card charge, 1 bag, 2 days' travel insurance).
