Rovers 8 Waterford 1. Christ, I suddenly think losing 4-0 to Rovers during the week was almost encouraging given we gave them two or three.

Serious step up from Rovers in the space of 6 days. Played at walking pace against Youths and only looked good in patches but played at a serious tempo from the off and basically embarrassed Waterford for one of the most one sided 90 minutes I've seen outside of schoolboy football. It's the depth of the Rovers squad that has to be really frightening for the rest of the league, they never looked any weaker with each substitution and all the players looked hungry to impress and win a starting place. Some of the passing and movement was fantastic to watch and there was a couple of sublime goals, Daryl Kavanagh's chip probably the highlight. If they bring that form into the league they should run away with it, although it's never a good idea to make judgements based on friendlies, I suppose, and Waterford looked exceptionally poor apart from their physical threat from rare set pieces (would probably be the one worry for Rovers too). It wasn't a case of it could have been double figures tonight, it should have been, Aaron Greene missed a hattrick of one on one's in the second half and there was various other chances.

Harps drew 2-2 with Cockhill tonight. Guess we went a bit soft on them ;P

How many goals have Waterford conceded in pre-season so far?

Longford 2/1 (without Limerick) looks a good bet with Boylesports...

Hopefully! Not that ours has been worth shouting about either but we did manage to beat Bohs and draw with Drogheda I guess, though Drogheda also had a few shocking results.

Put it this way, we went pre-season last year unbeaten. Wouldn't worry about it.

Theres a difference though, its easier to lose your confidence after a good pre season then it is to get it back after taking hammerings.

Well thats where the management come in. Your players should know not to lose heart over pre-season, and management have to buck players up for the first game of the season.

Doesn't necessarily mean anything for the season ahead, but by god that was a slaughter in Tallaght tonight.

7-1 with 30 minutes left without Twigg. More wingers getting beyond full-backs than any time last season and excellent combinations between Brennan, Dennehy, Finn, Gilbert, Powell and Kavanagh. Greene missed a hat-trick of one-on-ones in the second half. Could very easily have been 14 or 15+
    The Model Club

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

It's all part of the plan.....well it would be if we had one. But don't worry, with the help of our good buddy John we'll be in the top tier next season

I’m not pedantic...I’m merely overly concerned with minute details.

Well that was the problem most people had with Shams last season, Unbelievable squad but the manager was holding them back.

    With Kenny.......

I know O Neill was negative but surely he allowed his wingers beyond his full backs?
