AFAIK Lennox is working on it but wants to do it properly.
Are we ever going to have a scorebaord at the Cross? Nothing fancy, just something that could show the score. It seems a basic item but gardly any of the LOI grounds have any.
Remember the classic photo of CCFC 1 Bayern Munich 0? Wouldn't it be great if there was a photo of CCFC 2 Nantes 0?
One may smile and smile and be a villan!

Seem to remember reading (in the programme) that it would cost €40,000 to install a decent electronic scoreboard. Maybe with all the extra dosh from the ITC the club could splash out.

I'd hate to see a scoreboard at the cross....i hate the bloody things...how hard is it for people to remember the score like..1-0, 2-1 its not that hard to remember..why do peoople need a scoreboard to tell them? they're tacky ****e and the club could spend their money and far more useful things...
If it's going to cost 40k, then we have better things to do with the cash. Training facilities for instance.
Sort of agree with you, but they can be useful for advertising and bringing in money in themselves.Originally Posted by NorthoftheLee
Agree completely, 3-2 is the hardest score we've had to remember recently, if you can't figure that out without a scoreboard, ask the guy next to you.Originally Posted by liamon

It would stop people asking me 'how long is left?'
Malmo/Copenhagen =Played
Nijmegen =Played
Nantes =Result!!!!!!!!!!!
I very much doubt the Town spent €40k on a scoreboard that does the job. Scores, and countdown clock. wtf else do you need?
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.
The scoreboard for €40k would be a waste of money. But surely a big clock wouldn't be that much. I know I always forget to look at my watch when they take kick off. It would be handy to know whats left in a game
speaking from my own opinion i must have looked at the scoreboard at least 30 times during the nantes game. Handy to find out time and attendances. Could be used to generate more atmosphere at games by putting the lyrics of songs on the board a bit like a karaoke screen.
First Division Champions
NEC Nijmegen used their scoreboards to scroll advertising based on what on the pitch. Dunno if worth 40k but can be used to compliment PA system & should get sponsors to put up large % of the cost.

Why should the club spend 40k on a scoreboard for a stadium we dont even own.
Good point sham,sur hopefully we'll own the stadium someday or if godforbid we move somewhere else we can take it with us.Originally Posted by Storysham
40k seems like a savage amount of money to spend on something that is nowhere near essential to us though.
