PS, I have no problem with that, even his using the word "silly", I didn't mention WUM to Mr. A. I had to check again to make sure you got that one wrong.

You mentioned wum to John83. You were also wrong there; he was right to say that he thought your point was stupid, for the reasons previously mentioned. You were wrong to accuse Mr A of a repressive mentality, you were wrong to compare Mr A to Bertie.

    Let's move on, shall we?

I agree. Enough of this craziness.

Let's keep the discussion focused on the greatest golfer who ever lived!

And the greatest cinema buff. And the first miracle birth in 2000 years. And the only person in North Korea with an e-mail address.

And in fact, time for some Kim Jong Il crazy facts, cos they're good fun. And while I'm at it, I'll recommend again (after doing so in the books thread) This is Paradise - My North Korean Childhood by Hyok Kang and Nothing to Envy by Barbara Demick, which is based on interviews with some who've fled North Korea for the South. Two super books.

Well, they both behaved stupidly, but it's better to just let go, it's Christmas after all :-)

I don't know if most of the world (who had the misfortune to squirm through Team America) could have taken him seriously. I felt the same was the case with Saddam Hussein after South Park: The Movie. Maybe humour is a better weapon against dictators we're not supposed to like.

You don't think we should take Kim Jong Il or Saddam Hussein seriously based on a cartoon?!

At this stage, I'm not entirely sure if I should take you seriously tbh!

According to North Korean media, Kim Jong Il is not, in fact, dead but is winning an international sleeping contest!!
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Stu, driven as we are by the US and UK media, there are lots of sheep who know little else. And be honest, as an intelligent educated person - can you say you don't think of Team America - I'm so ronnery - when you think of the ex PRK boss?

Have to enjoy how a sky league spat between a Uruguayan and French player has totally taken over the way of things, that and Sinead O'Connor winding up then winding down with her latest beau. Love the 12 month silly season.

edit: On that snow job, the Russians are dab hands at preventing snow by bombing clouds, rain too, and from what I've read they have been able to induce both. Maybe next time there's an election in Ireland the powers that be can cause wind and rain, oh wait.
