The motd commentator was surprised initially but agreed it was a definite red having seen the replays.

after the initial coming together incident I knew what was coming next as mcclean set off back down the pitch in pursuit and could only watch through my fingers!
it was complete stupidity and I was embarrassed for him. straight red no doubt. its a real pity as he will now miss three matches at a time when he has made himself a regular in the west brom team. he may find it hard to get back in and at the very least the momentum of his seasons development will be interrupted. hopefully we benefit from the lesson I hope he learns from the incident

Looked like a good (Mc) Clean tackle to me

You gotta keep the game flowing.

Actually I would have spotted the first foul on McClean and sent the other guy off.

Clever from McClean to give himself a Christmas break so he'll have fresher legs to torment the tiring Swedish fullbacks in June.

He is. Which reminds me that someone on our forum once mentioned sitting beside him on a supporters bus to a DCFC game (when he was still unknown) and him turning down can after can.

I needed a beer to wash down some stuffed hot peppers before. It's hot out today. Really really weird.

If you're going to fit in here Crosbo, you'll need to call it a can. Even if it's not a can.

James may not be welcome at a joint reception of Northern Ireland and Ireland, says some PUP guy.

Mr Hutchinson (PUP) said it was disgraceful that a Premiership player "earning £40,000 or £50,000 a week for an English team then refused to wear a poppy."
Further proof, that true blue union loyalty is subvention focussed.

I was at our work Christmas dinner and one of the ladies piped up that even if Ireland do badly we'll all still have Northern Ireland to follow also.

    I told her why I wouldn't be.

I don't think she'll ever talk to me again.

Isn't the correct term "Holiday Party?"

    Things continue to heat up.

That's just exactly what the OWC need in these auspicious times, Wee Willie Frasier allied with desperado politicians, collectively campaigning for a good old fashioned, born again bigotry revival.

Yet another Ulster says no to ........ (fill in the blank space) protest,
or take your pick from sodomy, sin, James McClean, traitors, rum, sunday sports, anyone not named Willie, anything green, any non protestants, poppyless lapels, breastfeeding, homosexuals and anything Roman.

Did you not know that if you have a well paid job in China it's taken for granted that you eat dog at the office party?
