Yes a good free, but I think it would have been a comfortable save for Given, not
exactly in the top corner or anything like that. Only seen it once on a stream though.

    Here is the goal
    http://www.goalsarena.org/video/engl...bolton_en.html

No idea what is going on with the wall, if I had a wall built like that I would ask them to knock it down again,
he has basically just blasted it through the gap left in the wall when the Sunderland player occupying it stepped aside.

According to that there's room for Darron Gibson to force his way into the squad. Huh?

Strange one ok. I would have thought he is number 3 in the pecking order behind Whelan and Andrews.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Very odd story by Emmet Malone in this morning's Irish Times

    http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...315361252.html

McClean to benefit from a senior player not traveling, possibly for private reasons.

The Ireland manager refused to name the player or provide details of his difficulty, insisting that he could not say anything until next week, but the tone of his comments suggested that the issue is a personal one rather than one of fitness.

    Here we go again...

I'd give Magicme a shout. The walls in Bray have never been the same since.

This is the article that the quotes were gleaned from :

    http://extratime.ie/newsdesk/article...by-club-award/

I see McClean is featured (briefly) in this month's "World Soccer" magazine as a potential surprise package / secret weapon in Euro 2012.

An unlikely yet interesting prospect popped into my head there. Given Doyle's lack of form for most of this season, were Trap to take this into account and also take into account McClean's terrific season, what if Doyle was dropped and McClean started. Trap could stick McClean and McGeady on the wings and Duff up front with Keane in a similar partnership to that 10 years ago at the World Cup.

Not saying it's possible or even probable due to a number of factors (not least the value of Doyle's workrate), but it would be a very exciting line-up.

If it was a choice between McClean and Duff up front I would definably go for McClean his strike rate is 0.23 whereas Duff's is 0.13

I think McClean would make a pretty good striker in fact but Duff is 100% a winger.

Keane's career strike rate is 0.36 so McClean's rate compare very well with that especially considering he plays on the wing.

In fact if he was play as a striker I would not be surprise if he out scored Robbie!!

Out of interest how many games are McCleans stats based on? versus Duffers?
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?
