Heimir has met with JimmyMc in Derry lads.
The closest thing Irish football will ever produce to an actual Terminator on so many levels.

    ...........

He's a player of interest... a character that could help us' - Ireland boss open to James McClean return
Defender retired from international football in 2023 but has returned to Championship with Wrexham.

The international boss confirmed discussions have taken place with the 36-year-old while in Derry recently, and that the 36-year-old would be considered for selection after the upcoming friendlies with Senegal and Luxembourg.

Only got the last five minutes against Southampton today - got booked in that time, and they conceded twice.

Be interesting to see if he has the legs for the Championship still. Was 36 in April - we've had older players, so in theory and given our issues at full-back he could still be an option.

Two assists against Hull tonight in the League Cup, and he scored in the shootout. Wrexham were 3-1 down going into injury time but are now through to the next round

A September replacement for the injured Brady I wonder?

Probably between Manning, O’Dowda and McClean. Alternatives are playing Doherty there and either O’Brien or O’Shea on the right - or playing Scales left back.

Behind that group, you’ve probably got the likes of Honahan, Ferry, Ndaba, Roughan and Adaramola but I don’t think any of them are the answer.

I think McClean would bring a lot to the group and, if handled properly, could be a great squad player/motivator for Halgrimsson, rather than a starter

Only thing is Seamus already has that role locked up.

I get the impression Halgrimsson might understand the Irish psyche better than Trap.

Sure the Icelanders have a lot of Irish blood

Another assist today, this one in the 20th minute of injury time of a 2-0 win over Millwall. Wrexham's keeper Danny Ward was stretchered off in injury time, hence the huge amount of added-on time. McClean started on the bench and came on for the last 15 minutes (plus injury time of course)
