Lads cop on, we don't want the forum being ruined again by every second thread being taken over with this type of debate. There is a thread for this already please discuss it there.

    How did McClean play tonight?

You make a good point. However as everyone should it realise be in Derry or Durban, football or sport is not always just about the game. Sometimes there are wider issues at stake.
That includes threats against the person, spurious or otherwise.

No orange in his National Flag either.

Maybe not the best of ideas for you to go down that route - you know, the secret, sectarian, society, route. You might get trapped.
The Englishmen came over in the year 2005
But little did they know that we'd planned a wee surprise
Sir David scored the winner, and Windsor Park went wild
And this is what we sang...

No apologies in showing how the IFA have an underbelly of orange order type influence.

No orange in my National Flag.

Right, now that we've learnt that IFA HQ is really an Orange Hall, I'm going to leave this thread, and your "Old Skool" bigotry, and allow the discussion to be about your exciting young player's on field activities.

How's about we just agree that McClean made totally unfounded allegations about Northern Ireland fans, and that You Tube wars about sectarianism will bring no victor?

PS: No orange in my National Flag.

PPS: Search Northern Ireland fans Paddy MCCourt in You Tube.
The sun must shine bright up in Windsor Park on International match days when all those Northern Irish fans stand up off their seats. How do you know a Northern Irish fan didn't send bullets? Do you have some divine all seeing, all knowing power when it comes to all things concerned with every individual who's a supporter of Northern Ireland?

The onus of proof is on the person making the allegation.

Are you familiar with that fundamental tenet of law?

    Goodnight.

Until it is ever proven that the bullets were posted by NI fans, I don't think it's fair to assume that NI fans had anything to do with that sorry episode. It might even have been a "false flag" stunt, for all we know. Did the bullets definitely originate from NI? I thought I recalled reading something about the NI sorting office in which the bullets were intercepted having been a general UK sorting office, but maybe I'm mistaken. Sending bulk amounts of general UK post to an NI sorting office and onward to their destination doesn't make a huge deal of sense when I think about it.

I didn't realise you believed in due process. Didn't you imply that Joe Brolly's professional legal defence of some "interesting characters charged with various acts of terrorism" was a stain on Brolly's character over on ILS recently?

As I recall, they were postmarked as being sent in Ayrshire and Antrim. One of which is in Scotland, the other, somewhere...

Heh. Just that they were sent to Messrs.Lennon, McCourt & McGinn, so a good job Mr.McClean didn't join Celtic...

More worryingly was they caught up with most of the internet haters, but not sure if they ever charged anyone for this which is rather more serious.
As to who, well there's plenty of suspects...

McClean got a medium rating on Sky Sports which seems about right, but other players featured more on the night.
HE would perhaps to be best advised to not get too involved with twitter, but then he only responded to a journalist(?) comment,
but it's so easy to get get dragged into stiff and it can get out of hand, I mean look at Joey Barton he very nearly got
done for contempt of court!! So many other people get themselves into trouble using it, including politicians who should
know better. But then on the other hand I suppose if it makes the newspapers at least you know someone actually reads your tweets!!
