Not necessarily, but the balance is in his favour moreso than at any time.

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

You've completely ignored his time at Derry from 2004-2006 where he won 2 League Cups and an FAI Cup. In this period he also finished 2nd (twice) and in 2006 lost out on completing a domestic treble by virtue of goal difference. (If only Bohs could have held their bottle against Shels on the last game of the season that year)

To the Rovers fans and the board in general, what are the expectations from Kenny? i think he is in a bit of a no-win situation now. How can he surpass last season? Maybe the Rovers masses can readjust their expectations but... i doubt it.

I think he is a good manager but hasnt got the charisma or strength of character to manage Rovers or any other club where expectations have never been higher. I think it will end along the same lines as it did in Dalymount for Kenny. Him lying on the dressing room bench, crying.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Rovers fans expect SK(following on the tradition to acronym-ise the managers name) to win the league . thats pretty much it I'd wager.
A decent run in Europe would be good but not financially essentlal.

its years since we won the league cup , and with the new manager in place I'm assuming thats a foregone conclusion.

I don't think anyone expects to get into Europe - there's definitely more hope than last year - but his target is to retain the league. I think he'd have to fight for his job if he didn't win it.

False hope is worse than no hope. Ask Sligo.

I'm sure the target will be win the league and in Europe, reach the EL Playoff round. Anything else will be a bonus.

Apols for forgetting the FAI Cup win (should have recalled they won as there was no spike in sales of Kleenex)

Incidentally, SK won his only League title with Bohs, clinched (if memory serves me) with a win against Shels at Tolka. Dont think its Bohs bottle in doubt.

Understand your wish to portray shortcomings (well, 2nd place) as someone elses fault. When Bohs lost the Lge on goal difference 2 seasons back,it was not our inexplicable inability to beat a **** poor Galway side but all the other clubs fault for not beating shams. Really

I've seen this pop up a few times in relation to Kenny. Footballers and managers cry all the time! What's the big deal? Or is there one?

Jim Mc as stated left the best team ever to grace this league, love the man, GOD, but if you want to bring insult into it, the same Derry team that eventually won the league on the back of Rovers demise, was effectively said Rovers team..... now thats an insult.
Dewie can you not remember that when Jim Mc left rovers he didnt become Derry's manager, he was assitant to Noel King, and can you ever remember Shamrock Rovers EVER doing the TREBLE dont think so. Four players came from Rovers not a whole team. All these Rovers fans jumping on the KENNY BANDWAGON now memories must be short in tallaght as only a few months ago during the Zayed nonense yous were calling him every name under the sun now hes the best thing since sliced bread

You are 100% incorrect with that one!

In the 63/64 season, Rovers won the League, the FAI Cup and the Shield.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leinster_Senior_Cup_(association_football)#1960s

63/64 also saw Rovers win the Leinster Senior Cup, so this was a quadruple season for us.

We also did the treble in the 31/32 season.

FYI the League Cup became the "3rd" trophy when it replaced the Shield competition in 73.
