He'll be there for this season and if Forest dont make the Prem then he'll be on his way for nothing less than 5 million.

Nottingham Forest have rejected a fresh offer from Tottenham for Republic of Ireland star Andy Reid, it was revealed today.
Spurs, who had a £5million bid for Reid turned down in January, have attempted again to secure the 21 year old's services but their new bid of £3million was immediately turned down by The Reds.
The news comes just 24 hours after Reid accused Chairman Nigel Doughty in a Sunday newspaper article of failing to invest in the Forest squad this summer.
Forest's Chief Executive Mark Arthur said: "We rejected Tottenham's offer of £5million for Andy in January, so I don't know what now makes them think we would be willing to do business at £3million.
*"I was disappointed to read Andy's comments in the Sunday Mirror. Joe Kinnear has worked hard to strengthen his squad over the summer and is continuing to do so.
"And to accuse Nigel Doughty of a lack of investment is misguided. We were the third highest spenders in terms of transfer fees in the First Division last season and have one of the largest salary budgets outside the Premiership.
"Nigel put £6.5million into the Club last season - £1.5million out of his own pocket to buy Marlon King and Gareth Taylor and £5million to support the running of the Club.
"Nigel is committed to spending a similar amount this season to again support the day-to-day running of the Club."

I bet they're wishing they had taken the 5 million in January.

Now Spurs deny making the bid, all very odd but suspicious, could be Kinnear trying to drum up some interest in him.

Sounds like Forest are trying to drum up interest and sell Reid. The alleged bid that Spurs say they never made and now suggesting £5 million is the price.

    Reid Deal

Reid will be a Spurs player by Saturday, with a 5 million handshake and Brown and Gardiner part of the deal, the general consensus from spurs and forest anyways, Its a done deal!!

Where are you getting this info from? £5 Million plus Gardiner & Brown? That's some pretty shrewd business by Big Joe if true.

I'd be surprised if that was true. Gardner was called into the Engerland squad last year at one stage and Brown hasn't really been given a chance yet.
Forest are definately trying to sell although in the currant financial climate, no-one is going to pay more than £5m for a first division player so it might have to a player plus cash deal.

Personally I think Forest would be wise to take the cash plus Rohan Ricketts deal previously offered. It would provide funds and a ready made replacement for Reidy.
