The FAI are changing their crest and will have a launch before the WCQ campaign starts.

The green home is the current new one, but will be replaced totally in/around September.

That white one is about a year old, and the current white away one has a lapelled collar (it looks very similar to E*****d's home kit but with green trim instead of red). But that itself (the E*****d style one) will be replaced in September, either with just the same shirt but a different badge, or something completey new. I dont know, which of the 2 will happen - does anyone ?

Basically if you buy a kit now chances are it will be out of date in a couple of weeks... if you want to get one, the best Ireland home kit of recent years, IMO, is the felt-material one of c.2000 which can be got cheap of ebay now. Its the best for northern european climates. And I think the best away is the one in your link, but you should be able to get it for less than a tenner if u look around as its fairly old.

The ones on my earlier link cost about £35 (funny it is
pounds not euros?) which is a bit steep for a
    polyester (plastic) t-shirt.

I mean probably costs little more to produce
than a perforated supermarket plastic bag.

What I've heard the FAI have gone full circle to the five - yes five - badges that have either adorned an Irish shirt or FAI headed paper in my lifetime. I believe it's a four province effort which may well be the arms/badge/logo of the FAI in the sixties although in the halcyon days pre-registered trademark we wore shirts with the rugby team badge.

Surely the green shirt is going too?

I think some of the club badges look great, the FAI one looks
pretty ugly to be honest, I think the Cumnnan??? one
looks good, but I guess small detail doesnt show up too
    well from a distance.

New Crest / Logo on Jerseys

After speaking to a couple of FAI Officials when they were in London after the Unity Cup, I was handed one of their business cards and there is a new logo on it and the official said this will be on the new shirts for the World Cup Qualifiers

It is a circular crest with Cumann Peile na hÉireann on the top outer circle and FA Ireland bottom outer circle.
In the centre are 4 circles, in the following format, 1 north, 2 centre and 1 south, with the respective provincial flags in the circles.

The only thing I don't like is that the Ulster banner has a white field instead of the traditional yellow field.

Can't believe that an official said that the crest on the business cards was going to be on the shirts. Firstly, it is not new - it is the official crest of the FAI, the one on the shirts is the official logo. I'd guess the new crest/logo will be nothing like what you think it's going to be

Have a look at this site:
    http://www.football-is-us.com/teams/ireland.shtml

€28 including delivery for an Ireland jersey with Duff or Keane on the back. I'd probably wait until September though as all jersey's are the same price.

Looks like they are not genuine replicas
All of our football products are Grade A Replicas, you will not find better football shirts, football shorts, and complete football kits at the same price. These are Grade A football products and are identical in every way to the original football shirt.

Is a Grade A replica not the real thing?

I would take it that "Grade A" is really good where as the real deal would be a "genuine" replica.
John Courtney wont be happy if they are fakes.

Anyone recommend any sites that you can get decent retro / other Ireland shirts (Eire etc)? Seen Toffs and a couple of others.
