He was already with limerick before but left after a few weeks? He did the same with Athlone IIRC, so maybe he's just not that interested in playing league of ireland like many juniour players? But yeah he's a top top player no doubt about that.

For what its worth, I agree with him, having seen him play a lot in the last 12 months. I reckon he's well worth a call...
What has him playing a full season with Pike got to do with the fact that he signed for Limerick and left within a week or 2 to sign for Pike? Not exactly the signs of someoen that would love to play for his city now is it.

And how is having a different opinion to someone stirring it up? Or is it only stirring up because you agree with him? I simply made a point how can anyone say he is the best junior player in the country by far when they havent seen the other top junior players.

Never said he was not a good player because he is..

I have seen the vast majority and Pike won the Fai junior on the back of him, he left because he wants to play at a higher level and would jump at chance to
play for Limerick, Pike knew that without him they were in slight trouble so he was asked to " sign back" for the love of the club....
Still think with the money some players are getting, his well worth a call up for little amount. Best buddies are Jeff Judge and Shane Duggan and judging by the two
of them thier attitudes are fairly good so they will help each other.
Give him a chance, thats all Im saying.

Exactly. Joesoap, your over monitering is driving people away from this site. Bluewhitearmy simply had a different view, isnt that what this forum should be about. You and couple more are the only ones making this imaginary divide between people who are involved in Junior soccer and those who support Limerick because the majority of Limerick supporters I know are involved in both so whats your point.

Back to the topic, havnt seen Kavanagh play this year but from the facts giving on this then clearly he doesnt have the desire to play for Limerick. Saying that he is a quailty player and dont see why he shouldnt be at least looked at by Limerick.

He should be asked alright but if not interested leave it at that. I know he didn't hang around last season but circumstances might have meant pike suited him better at the time.

Lads conor kavangh should be signed but I know the last time he was there he felt it wasn't right for him for whatever reason, I'm not sure but still
I think our great manager could do worse than give him a chance. If he doesn't work out then his out.

Ya sickened. Thats a very experienced defender to lose and one of our best players last season. Looks like we now need more than one or two more defenders. A left full and two centre backs now needed. Hopefully the club have a few more players signed up and announce it soon. Would be nice to know where we stand. Dempsey and now Frost are two good signings for Waterford.

I cant think of many other left backs around either that would be realistic for us to get.

    Shane Tracey?

He has played there before with us and was solid, he is left footed which can be hard to come by in the first place and he played premier there too if I remember correct. Always thought he should have been given a run there when we where stuck like when Corie was made play there. It would make him another attacking option from the back like Kelly on the opposite side.

Ive always wanted him to get a run there as well i think he would be better there then on the wing....

I think he would do well there he is good defensively and like you say would be good going forward like Kelly....Very handy to have on the pitch for set pieces too.

Coady from Waterford seemed ok last season too seen as Frosty has taken his place now think he is young too so could be worth a look.

Heard talk of Guthrie,Price and Kenny Browne recently too would love to get Aidan Price as one of the centre backs we definitely need 2.

Aidan Price would be a great signing. We need two quality centre halves and him and Purcell would be that. Any of those three would strengthen us at the back.

    Out so far:

    Frost
    Yellow
O'Flynn (would think he is gone at this stage)

O'Flynn and Frost leaving should open up some wages for decent replacements. Pity about Yellow, would hope to see him back in the future, quality player.

It will be very disappointing to lose Judgie but no-one that has left so far are irreplaceable.

Heard some names that could be leaving that are a bit worrying though.

I'd like to see us do a bit of business in the next few weeks now, make a statement of intent, the two lads leaving is giving off the wrong vibes.

Longford and Waterford are looking like spending a few quid (Furlong to Waterford is another good one for them).

If we don't win the league by at least ten points.
